FSA-NG – Cabinet Management - Data Management

Data storage management is designed to minimize impacts on

maintenance operations

Disks are managed by a RAID controller device

Mass storage is seen as a single resource by all applications

Redundancy is transparent to applications and operator

Mass storage is designed to be resistant to 1 disk failure

re-building is automatic and transparent to the operator

Cabinet = optimization of data management efficiency

Double Data storage failure can lead to operational impact (to

FSA-NG – DaFa deployment

• Easy deployment for operator:

• Import from the ground using IP COM or on-board using USB device
• No manual uploading needed. Load deployed by application itself once load is
successfully imported

• ADS DaFa:
• Need to be activated on board (activation from ground planned for post EIS)
• PNR status is either ACTIVE or STANDBY
• Incremental data available for post EIS

DaFa = simplified and transparent deployment for A/L

FSA-NG – Import Basic Service

On-board Load signature verification :

• Is performed by on-board checker (hosted on OSFC)

• Depending on the destination target, loads shall be signed with different

certificates level:

• ACD and ACD IS (ASFC)  Medium Hardware certificate

• AISD (OSFC)  Medium Hardware certificate for Certified

and Approved FLS delivered by Airbus and
Suppliers
 Medium Hardware or Medium Software
certificate for Customised FLS (generated
by A/L)

FSA-NG – OSFC Simple Data Loader (SDL)

SDL is the dataloader used to install FLS on the OSFC (2TC)

• Included in the Basic Service (installed with Core Software)

• Similar to DLCS
• Workflow and Look & Feel
• Same generated reports format (ELCS, ELCHR)
• Manage FLS repository for AISD perimeter (i.e. PNR installed on
OSFC cabinet)
• DaFa excluded
• Once dataloading with SDL has started on one terminal, other action
from other terminals (OMT, OIS DU) not possible
• Not used to install DaFa

FSA-NG – OSFC Simple Data Loader (SDL)

Dataloading principle:
1. OSFC loads must be first imported with IMPORT function (USB or IP COM)
 FLS is transferred to SDL INBOX

2. Operator opens SDL HMI

• Select FIN-SW to install (1 or more)
• Select PNR from INBOX (or REFERENCE)
SDL pre-selects the PNR for S/W FINs when imported FLS available in the
INBOX  just verify the PNR is correct, verify automatic pre-selection
• Start uploading on the target
• When uploading is finished, operator validates the reported
configuration
 upon validation in the HMI, the PNR is transferred from INBOX to
REFERENCE repository
 Previous PNR (if any) is automatically removed from REFERENCE
repository
