 Province of Camiguin is an island province in the Philippines located in


the Bohol Sea, about 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) off the northern coast of
mainland Mindanao. It is geographically part of Region X, the Northern
Mindanao Region of the country and formerly a part of Misamis Oriental
province.

SUMMARY

Region 10 also known as Northern Mindanao is found in the


northern half of Mindanao Archipelago in the Republic of the
Philippines. It comprises five provinces: The provinces are Bukidnon,
Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Camiguin, and Misamis
Occidental. It has various terrains: mountains, plains and coastal
landforms, agricultural products such as rice, corn, and high value
crops are produced mostly in the region.

Cagayan de Oro City is tasked to be the regional center and the


nerve center of businesses and learning institutions. The area also
has cultural blend of several indigenous communities and festival
celebrations. The area of Northern Mindanao has witnessed
economic development due to agriculture trade and tourism and
