• The term “analyze” can mean scrutinizing something to derive useful information from it.
• Data analytics can be defined as the process in which meaningful insights are drawn from
raw data by scrutinizing it.
• Data analysis is the process of gleaning insights from data to inform better business
decisions.
• A data analyst collects, cleans, and interprets data sets in order to answer a question or
solve a problem.
