ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to
our Principal koushik sir , Vice Principal sutapa mam and
our math teacher monisha mam for their invaluable
guidance and support throughout this project.
Their encouragement and insightful feedback
were instrumental in my success. I also extend
my thanks to my classmates for their
collaboration and stimulating discussions and to
my family for their unwavering support and belief
in me. This project would not have been possible
without the collective efforts and contributions of
everyone involved. Thank you all for your
assistance and encouragement.
introduction
In this project, we explore the fundamental concepts of
data collection and visualization through the creation of
histograms. Data collection is a critical step in the field of
statistics, providing the raw information necessary for
analysis and decision-making. Our objective is to gather a
set of data, organize it and represent it visually using a
histogram.
A histogram is a type of bar graph that represents the
frequency distribution of a dataset. It allows us to easily
interpret patterns, trends, and the overall distribution of
the data. By transforming raw data into a visual format,
histograms enable us to quickly grasp important
statistical information, such as the central tendency,
variability and distribution shape.
In this project, we will collect data on a chosen topic,
organize the data into intervals and construct a histogram
to visually represent our findings. This process will
enhance our understanding of data handling and
interpretation, key skills in both academic and real-world
applications of mathematics.
COLLECTION OF DATA
In think my surrounding is about 31,416m².
In this surrounding there is a small garden
where I find many types of trees like
banana , mango , lychee , guava , jasmine
and etc. Number of trees of many types of
trees I had counted are as follows:-
Mango : 6
Lychee : 7
Banana : 5
Guava : 2
Cherry: 8

conclusion
In this project, we successfully demonstrated the process of
data collection and its visualization through histograms. By
selecting a specific location and identifying various types of
trees, we gathered and organized relevant data. The creation
of a histogram from this data provided a clear and intuitive
graphical representation of the frequency distribution of
different tree species.
This project highlighted the importance of accurate data
collection and the effectiveness of histograms in presenting
data visually. Through this exercise, we gained valuable skills
in statistical analysis and data interpretation, which are
essential in many fields of study and real-world applications.
The histogram not only helped us understand the distribution
patterns but also allowed us to make informed observations
and conclusions about the tree population in our surrounding
area.
Overall, this project reinforced our understanding of key
mathematical concepts and the practical application of
statistics, underscoring the significance of data visualization
in simplifying complex data sets.
