Principle duties
• Establishes the monthly duty roster for the reservation department.
• Coordinates leave requests related to his section.
• Is responsible for the smooth operation of the reservation office.
• Abides to the daily tasks list and ensures the timely implementation thereof.
• Handles the individual guest reservations & the group reservations in a professional
manner and obtains all required details according to the Standard Operating
Procedure.
• Up sells as much as possible with the aim to increase the average room rate.
• Assumes responsibility on overbooking situations and coordinates accordingly.
• Monitors the status of all reservations (voice, distribution channels faxes etc) and
ensures that all answered within the time limit as per the SOP.

• Checks Arrivals and ensures there are no rate discrepancies, hurdle overrides or
non-guaranteed bookings.
• Ensures reservations are entered according to the SOP set by the department head
and the hotel management and maintains quality of data.
• Communicates with the Concierge, and FO to any transportation requirements and
F&B for all related matters.
• Supervises status of the groups in compliance with the sales managers.
• Ensures training is provided according to the Signature standards to maintain
quality of service.
• Enforces the Standard Operating Procedures related to his section.
• Coordinates with the Accounting Department regarding credit letters, acceptance of
vouchers, and travel agents commission claims.
• Carries out other duties that may from time to time be assigned to him by his
superiors.
• Is familiar with fire and evacuation procedures
• Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and
operate equipment safely and sensibly.
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements.
