Intended outcomes •Boost morale and motivate staff to embrace leadership responsibilities •Enhanced professional development and growth of the existing and new workforce bringing together research and practice to deliver best practice •New robust process for ongoing development, support and preceptorship •Retain health visitors in practice and provide development at every stage of their careers
Making the Most •On target for completion in March •Regional conferences to inspire and motivate. •Aimed at strengthening and improving the quality of health visiting practice nationally •We want to share products ASAP so many are hot off the press
What we were told Communities of Practice beneficial to share and learn Feel connected – part of a national community of Health Visiting Share and learn events to celebrate and motivate iHV Learning events in regions Bite-size learning Downloadable tools for HV practice Good practice points great for updating in practice Ensure regular evidence-based updates are succinct and pertinent to support practice One-stop information Concerned about reduced support with move to mobile working

Just published – 6-7 High Impact Areas To follow: • Working therapeutically with families • Maintaining and Developing Prescribing Practice • Working in partnership with communities and families (BCC) • Informing and influencing the JNSA

Next steps •Launching and testing the learning hub on the iHV website •Continue to evaluate and develop the resources •Develop further CPD standards •Develop training to support the standards To deliver excellent services to children, families and communities through a highly skilled and supported workforce
Fellows are health visitors who: •Are ambassadors for the profession and are seen as local leaders •Deliver excellence in practice •Have made a real difference to health outcomes for children and their families. •Who 'push the boundaries’ and have an entrepreneurial spirit While most are from clinical practice, some are from education and management.
