Purposes for the workshop To know what Weblogs are; To create an on-line personal diary; To reflect about the potential of Weblogs in education.
What are weblogs? “ A weblog, or simply a blog, is a web application which contains periodic, reverse chronologically ordered posts on a common webpage.”  ( in  Wikipedia:  http:// en.wikipedia.org / )
Some common features: It's a kind of website that is easy and quick to create. It is organized with dated entries (chronologically backwards). It is organized by posts. The posts are usually short and frequently posted. Readers can often respond or react through a 'comments' feature. It lets you publish instantly to the web - you don't have to learn HTML or use a web authoring program. It is usually maintained by one person, but there are multi-person blogs. It can be free or very low-cost to create. The author's voice and personality often comes through. ( in   http:// anvil.gsu.edu/NECC2004/ )
How to create your own weblog? There are many  free  weblogging software programs available…  ( http://www.blogger.com/ )
