Currently, I am a senior staff editor on the home page team at The New York Times, where I'm responsible for the presentation of breaking news, analysis and features for the U.S. and International versions of nytimes.com. My job involves coding, editing and juggling the requests of many editors to make a story look the best it can online. Prior to The New York Times, I was the social media editor at the Austin American-Statesman, where I managed the newspaper’s social media accounts and developed strategies for social reporting and for audience growth. Before that, I worked at a news startup, a publishing company and as a contributor to MTV’s Choose or Lose election coverage. I receiv
