NEW DPR TO BE MADE

âCOACHING INSTITUTES
NOT SOLELY TO BLAME
FOR KOTA SUICIDESâ
A new DPR will
be prepared
from Ambabari to
Vidyadhar Nagar. For the
10-kilometre-long section,
the Jaipur Metro has issued
a tender. First India had
broadcast the news about
the extension of the metro
route on June 29. Deputy
Chief Minister Diya Kumari
had made the announce-
ment in the Assembly. The
existing DPR of the second
phase will be updated
from Ambabari to Sitapura.
Besides, possibilities of
running a metro train will be
explored on a total of 61 km
route. A detailed plan will
be prepared to increase the
revenue of the metro, con-
necting Jaipur Metro sta-
tions with public transport.
In a significant state-
ment on the rising
cases of suicide in
Kota, Dilawar emphasized
that coaching institutes
alone cannot be held
responsible. During his visit
to Jhunjhunu, the minister
highlighted that parents also
bear responsibility for these
incidents. He stressed that
parents often place undue
pressure on their children,
expecting more than their
capabilities. Advising
parents, minister suggested
aligning educational choices
with their children's abilities.
He emphasized that becom-
ing an engineer or doctor
isn't the sole path; studying
humanities can also lead
to successful careers in
administration other fileds.

NEW IRAN PREZ
BRINGS HOPE
FOR THE MASSES
asoud Pezeshkianâs election as Iranâs presi-
dent marks a significant shift, as he is only the
second moderate leader to hold the position.
His leadership promises potential reforms and a move
away from hard-line Islamic policies and also hope to
Iranians who faced brutal crackdown over hijab ban.
However, the influence of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei,
the Supreme Leader, remains a formidable challenge.
Khameneiâs control over key institutions, including
the military and judiciary, limits the presidentâs power.
Pezeshkianâs ability to implement moderate policies
will depend on dealing with the complexities of the
political situation. Balancing reformist agenda with
the expectations of hard-line factions will not be easy.
While his election reflects a desire for change among
theIranianpopulace,Pezeshkianâssuccessinsteeringthe

The global community will be watching closely to
see if Pezeshkian can effectively advocate for a more
open and progressive Iran under Khamenei.

CHINAâS STAND BEATS
SCOâS OBJECTIVE
errorists have struck again in Kashmir. Pre-
cious lives of two of our jawans were lost in
the operation against the infiltrators. The
Pakistan angle in the attack cannot be ruled out. That
makes External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar plain
speak at the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organisa-
tion (SCO) Council summit in Kazakhstan relevant.
In his strong message at the summit which includ-
ed Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese Presi-
dent Xi Jinping, and Pakistan Prime Minister She-
hbaz Sharif, Jaishankar underscored the necessity of
isolating nations that harbour and support terrorists.
This appeal was a poignant reminder of the SCOâs
foundational objective: combating terrorism.
Despite the clarity and urgency of Jaishankarâs
message, it is likely
to have encountered
indifference, espe-
cially from China.
Historically, China
has shielded Pakistan
from international
scrutiny over its pro-
vision of safe havens
for terrorists. Al-
though China also
has suffered losses
due to terror acts in
Pakistan, it has re-
peatedly vetoed In-
diaâs attempts to
blacklist Pakistan-
backed terrorists at
the United Nations,
thereby undermining
global counter-terrorism efforts.
This persistent support of Pakistan by China com-
plicates the SCOâs mission. As long as China contin-
ues to offer this protection, the organizationâs effi-
cacy in addressing terrorism remains compromised.
The geopolitical dynamics between China and Paki-
stan have created a significant roadblock in the pur-
suit of regional security and stability.
For the SCO to fulfil its anti-terrorism goals, it is
imperative that all member states, especially influen-
tial ones like China, commit to a unified stance against
terrorism. This includes holding accountable those
nations that provide refuge to terrorists. Indiaâs call
to action is a crucial step towards a secure region.

Cessation of hostilities,
Prosecution of war crimes

WAY FORWARD
Identify more countries in-
cluding India with an eye
on possible mediators to
end the hostilities. The Is-
raelâs counter operations in
Gaza to neutralize Hamas
has exposed some of the
double speak of these coun-
tries on civilian deaths.
Address issues like, pro-
tection of civilians and
prisoner exchange, food
security for African and
Asian Nations, no use of
nuclear weapons etc which
are acceptable to both sides
and has wider consensus.
India needs to be more
pro- active as it has good
relations both with
Ukraine and Russia and
has off late emerged as
voice of global south and
more acceptable mediator.
Most nations will have to
arrive at a similar view on
killings of civilians in
Ukraine vs Gaza and aiding
the conflict with military
arms and ammunition for
purely defensive reasons.
Work out on restoration
of a buffer zone on western
flank and play on the factor
of reputation of Russia
with assurances of non ex-
pansion of NATO to threat-
en Russian interests.
The prolonged war will
increase Russian depend-
ence on China and thus
China emerges stronger
adversary both for the US
and India. India must use
its clout to bring Russia to
table as the US cannot be
expected to mediate an is-
sue when it is at odds over
the war internally.
The US and Europe will
have to convince Kyiv to
accept that some Ukraini-
an land will not be swiftly
regained and India, in turn,
will have to convince Rus-
sia that its broader strate-
gic interests and secure
frontiers cannot be attained
through military force.
Indiaâs view is that peace

Justice-Oriented Approach
Union Home Minister and Minister of
Cooperation Amit Shah described the new
criminal laws as justice-oriented rather than
punishment-focused, and victim-centric.
Addressing Misconceptions
Shah noted that misconceptions are being
spread about these laws to create confu-
sion among the public. He stated that every
aspect of the new laws was extensively
discussed with various stakeholders over
four years.
Indigenous Criminal Justice System
Home Minister highlighted that after 77 years
of independence, Indiaâs criminal justice
system is becoming completely indigenous.
The new laws have been implemented in
every police station across the country. He
mentioned that these laws replace punish-
ment with justice, prioritize speedy trials over
delays, and protect the rights of victims and
complainants, not just the police.
Constitutional Alignment And
Prioritization
The Home Minister also stated
that the sections and chapters
of the new laws are prioritized
in accordance with the spirit of
the Indian Constitution. Crimes
against women and children are
given the highest priority, with a
new chapter dedicated to these
offenses, comprising 35 sections
and 13 provisions.
Addressing Mob Lynching And
Anti-National Activities
For the first time, mob lynching
has been defined, with severe
punishments prescribed. The
new laws also abolish the
colonial-era sedition law, replac-
ing it with provisions for severe
punishment for anti-national
activities that threaten Indiaâs
unity and integrity.
Technological Integration
The new laws will see Zero-FIR, e-FIR, and charge sheets all being digital.
Shah also highlighted that the laws set deadlines for completing procedures,
aiming to end the endless wait for justice, with the potential for cases to reach
the Supreme Court within three years of filing an FIR.
First FIRs Under New Laws: On the first day of implementing the new criminal
laws, Jammu Kashmir Police registered the first FIRs under the Bharatiya
Nyaya Sanhita in Anantnag, Srinagar, Baramulla, Kulgam, and Police District
Sopore. This marks the beginning of a new era in the justice delivery system.
Way Forward
To ensure the effective implementation of the new laws, continuous training
programs should be conducted for police officers, investigators, and judicial
staff. This will help them understand the nuances of the new legal framework
and adapt to the technological advancements incorporated into the system. It
is crucial to educate the public about the new laws to dispel any misconcep-
tions and build trust in the new justice system. Awareness campaigns can help
citizens understand their rights and the new legal processes, fostering greater
cooperation with law enforcement agencies. The integration of technology in law
enforcement should be continually upgraded to stay ahead of evolving crimi-
nal activities. Developing and deploying advanced software tools, enhancing
the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network Systems (CCTNS), and ensuring
seamless digital documentation and e-governance are essential steps forward.
Robust infrastructure is vital for the smooth implementation of new criminal laws.

have currently
reached a new peak every

crossing that number after

the stock market repeated
this and the BSE and Nif-
ty index touched a new
peak again. Although
there was a slight decline
in the BSE index last Fri-
day, but in the last week
that ended, the Indian
stock markets have regis-
tered a rise for the fifth
consecutive week. While
businessmen are hesitant
about new investments
due to the continuous rise
in the market, the flow of
money in the market con-
tinues through Systematic
InvestmentPlani.e.SIP.It
is said that at present, eve-
ry month an amount of 20
to 22 thousand crore ru-
pees is coming in the mar-
ketfrominvestorsthrough
SIP, which is bound to be
invested in the stock mar-
ket. This can also be con-
sidered a big reason for
the rise in Indian markets.
For the stock market, the
upcoming budget and the
June quarter results of
listed companies, in addi-
tion to the recent im-
provement in crude oil
prices, are some of the
points that may delay the
start of profit booking,
i.e., may create a down-
trend for a few days, but
it is certain that the com-
ing time is for the devel-
opment of the Indian
economy, which is also
being reflected in the
form of the rise in the In-
dian stock market. At the
technical level, 24200
points are now being
considered as the support
level for the NSE Nifty
index, which indicates
that if the Nifty index re-
mains above this level,
then there is a possibility
of Nifty crossing the
level of 24500 in the
coming time.
Despite a slight decline
in the trading session end-
ed on Friday, the BSE in-
dex improved by 963.88
points (1.22%) last week
and the BSE index closed
at 79996.60 points after
touching the highest level
of 80392.64 points, while
the NSE Nifty index rose
by 313.25 points (1.30%)
and it also closed at
24323.85 points after
reaching 24401.00 points.
The midcap and smallcap
index also kept pace with
the improvement in the
market and there was a
better improvement in it
than the original index,
which indicates the
strength of the market in
the coming times.
The rising confidence
in the Indian stock market
can also be seen as a proof
of the start of buying by
foreign institutional in-
vestors (FIIs), who were
sellers till now, who
bought goods worth Rs
6874.66 crore last week,
althoughdomesticinstitu-
tional investors (DIIs)
who sold goods to FIIs,
have also sold goods
worth only Rs 385.2
crore. Talking about the
bullion market, this week
due to new international
equations, the prices of
gold and silver have once
again improved and this
week the prices of gold
have increased by Rs
1400per10gramsandthe
prices of silver have in-
creased by Rs 4400 per
kg. In Jaipur, the price of
24 carat gold improved
from last weekâs Rs
73,600 per ten grams to
Rs 75,000 per ten grams
and silver increased from
Rs 90,000 per kg to Rs
94,400 per kg.
Regarding the market
trend this week, traders
say that there are high
chances of instability in
the market this week.The
effect of international
reasons will also be seen
on the stock market.
Traders believe that from
the point of view of long-
term investment, new
investment can be made
in companies with strong
fundamentals in the mar-
ket even at present, but if
investors work patiently
and wait for any profit
booking in the market,
then there will be more
opportunities for profit
for them. Some traders
say that in the current
situation, State Bank of
India, Castrol, BEL,
BHEL, Zomato, Indus
Tower, John Cockrill In-
dia etc. can be considered
safe investments, but in-
vestors should also keep
in mind that if there is a
decline, then even the
shares considered strong
are not untouched by it.
They also believe that the
profit in the stock market
is only that which comes
into the bank account,
hence investors should
also keep a regular watch
on their portfolio. For in-
vestors investing through
IPO, no companyâs IPO
is available in the main
board this week, but the
IPOs of three companies
opened on the MSME
platform and one com-
pany Sahaj Solar will be
able to try their luck de-
spite a huge premium.
On the other hand,
among the new IPO ap-
plications received by
SEBI, 9 companies have
submitted their Draft
Herring Prospectus-

tus-DRHP this week.

SOME POLLS FAVOR HARRIS
Recent polls suggest Harris could do better than

although she would
face a tight contest. A CNN
poll released found voters
favor Trump over Biden by
six percentage points, 49%

A Reuters/Ipsos poll after last weekâs televised debate
between Trump and a faltering Biden found Harris and
Trump were nearly tied, with 42% supporting her and
43% backing him. Internal polling shared by the Biden
campaign after the debate shows Harris with the same
odds as Biden of beating Trump, with 45% of voters say-
