Why an Effectiveness tool?
• Targeted at small organisations
• Incorporates self-assessment process
• Collectively developed - the process
provided a focus and impetus for
members to act

funding the development of the tool
Its aims…
Helping organisations to:
• document existing good practice
• highlight areas for improvement
• develop actions plans for these
• share approaches to effectiveness
and provide peer support

We involve the people we seek to support, or
their representatives, and establish with them
what long-term impact we are trying to achieve.
Self-Assessment Question 1:

ensure inclusion and prevent unfair
