WHAT WE DID.
We did some research about Dutch
photographers who shoot landscapes
and we also interviewd them. Through
this we want to give you a picture about
how they see our country.
RON TER BURG.
A photographer who has become famous in the Netherlands
through shooting landscapes.
What is really important for shooting landscapes?

Good preparation is very important, to take a picture with a “wow-factor”
you need to pay much attention to time of day and the surroundings.
What kind of photographs do you like to shoot the most?
Sundown I love the most, especially in the month of September.
then, the Sun is very low.
What do you have to do to photograph a beautiful sundown?
You have to have a lot of patience.
Do you like to photograph the Netherlands?
Yes, because here are landscapes you won’t easily find anywhere else.
Do you have some tips for shooting landscapes?
Always be prepared and take pictures of thing that you like.
ANTON CORBIJN.
A photographer who has become famous in through shooting
pop stars.
Whereof did you made your first photo?
From a typical Dutch landscape in my own village Strijen.

Which camera did you use therefor?
I made it with a camera of my father.
When did you start photographing musicians?
in 1972 I made my first photo of a band called “Solution”
What do you find so fascinating about musicians?
I always wanted to do something with music, but I couldn't
play an instrument, and that is why I started to shoot it.
ROBIN UTRECHT.
A photographer who’s become famous for winning the silver camera.
Actually you didn’t want to become a photographer, but you wanted to go to the
Film Academy. How did that became this?
I was in the last round of the film Academy in Amsterdam. There they found me
qualified for the image production, but not as a cameraman. When I said not to want
that direction they said they found my images very photographic. Photography Was nothing
to me? Then I signed up for the Art Academy in Den Haag. I was adopted at the 2nd

admission round
With what kind of cameras do you photograph?
I use two Nikon D4's and also a Nikon D3X.
You are one of the most famous photographers of the Netherlands. You have won
Many awards and you have world famous photos taken that are on all front pages.
Do you still have to prove yourself?
Yes I do. Each topic is a new topic. If you do not provide good pictures, then they are also
not decreased because they will choose someone else. You are as good as your last picture.
It is currently a quite hard time for photographers, because there is more offer for
amateurs and because economically it’s not really going well. What do you notice
there of?
I think a professional photographer is still sufficiently distinctive.
Personally I don’t notice much of this.
Would you recommend potential young photographers to go to this section no
going despite the deteriorating conditions?
Of course. If your passion is photography, you should definitely do it. But if you do for
money, you shouldn't do it!
