William E. Cook Jr. was an American
serial killer notorious for murdering
six motorists within a span of 22 days.
Posing as a hitchhiker, Cook used to
take lift and kill people, thereby
inciting a fear among the motorists to
not take any hitchhiker with them.

Rajendra Jakkal, Dilip Sutar, Shantaram Kanhoji Jagtap and
Munawar Harun Shah were four commercial art students at

Between January ‘76 and March ‘77, they murdered ten
people and started a reign of terror in the city.
Captured in 1977 and hanged in 1983, the Joshi-Abhayankar
