The Doors referenced him in their 1972 song "Riders on the Storm" with the lyrics "There's a killer on the road". Robert Doob was a serial killer from California who was finally killed by his victim Karen McCann when he tried to rape her. Kiefer Sutherland played Doob in the film An Eye for an Eye, while the Bollywood film referenced was Dushman where the villain was played by Gopal Pandit.
