- 3. National Parc Aigüestortes and Sant Maurici is a protected natural area of the Pyrenees. One of fourteen national parks in Spain and the only one in Catalonia
- 4. Located in the central part of the Pyrenees between the regions of the Alta Ribagorça, Pallars Sobirà, the Vall d’Aran and Pallars Jussà
- 6. This park has got different ecosystems, forests, fields and crops. The park has got 40,852 hectares.
- 7. Most of the animals there are birds. For exemple the gall fer (capercaillie) and the perdiu blanca (partridge). Another very common animals are Isards (Pyrenean mountain goat).
- 8. In the lower valleys, we find mostly oak, hazel and ash. In the upper mountain, there are many pine trees and there also many firs.
- 9. There are many activities you can do in the National Park. In Boi, there is one of the two houses of the National Park information. You can also find information in the National Park House . I recommend you the visit!!!
