11. 5.In the early years of X's career, X is said to have imitated the
acclaimed singer Y, but later she developed her own style of
singing.
Lyrics of songs in Hindi movies are primarily composed by
Urdu poets and contain a higher proportion of Urdu words,
including the dialogue. Actor Dilip Kumar once made a
mildly disapproving remark about X's ________ accent while
singing Hindi/Urdu songs; so for a period of time, X took
lessons in Urdu from an Urdu teacher named Shafi.

1953 - Vaadal (Marathi)
1953 - Jhaanjhar (Hindi), co-produced with C. Ramchandra
1955 - Kanchan (Hindi)
1990 - Lekin... (Hindi)

19. 9.X noticed that Y had a voice which was adequate for singing jingles. He
told Debo Prasad(Ys husband) that he should get his wife to sing some
jingles and thus save the money to be paid to professional singers. Debo
Prasad was reluctant, because his parents and family had a traditional
outlook, and women who sang or danced in public spaces were looked
down upon in India.
X argued that since Y would never leave her own home, and since even her
name (as a jingle singer) would be unknown to the public, no disgrace
would attach to the reputation of the Dutta family. Yet the family resisted.
Finally one day, the female jingle singer for a certain advertisement
absented herself on grounds of ill health. With the delivery deadline at
hand, Debo Prasad took the expedient way out and asked his wife to sing
the jingle. She sang the jingle in duet with X. That was her musical debut,
and the result was positive. Debo Prasad was duly impressed and said so. It
became standard practice for Y and X to sing all the ad jingles produced by
Debo Prasad Dutta's ad agency.

What is it?
35. X was growing rapidly as a network and had established itself in the early 90s
as a presence, it was still not considered a major competitor to the established
"Big Three" broadcast networks, ABC, CBS and NBC. From its launch, X had
the advantage of offering programs intended to appeal toward a younger
demographic – adults between 18 and 49 years of age – and that were edgier in
content, whereas some programs that were carried by the "Big Three" networks
attracted an older-skewing audience.
X became a viable competitor to the "Big Three" when the network lured the
partial broadcast television rights to the National Football League away from
CBS. On December 18, 1993, X signed a contract with the NFL to televise
regular season and playoff games from the National Football Conference
starting with the 1994 season. The initial four-year contract, which X bid $1.58
billion to obtain, also included the exclusive U.S. television rights to Super
Bowl XXXI in 1997. The network also lured Pat Summerall, John Madden, Dick
Stockton, Matt Millen, James Brown and Terry Bradshaw from CBS Sports to
staff its NFL coverage.
37. After graduating, X worked as a salesperson for Xerox
Corporation and was quickly promoted to a full sales
representative. In 1979 he became a general manager for Swedish
drip coffee maker manufacturer, Hammarplast, where he became
responsible for their U.S. operations with a staff of twenty.
In 1981, X visited a client of Hammarplast, a fledgling coffee-
bean shop called Y Company in Seattle, curious as to why it
ordered so many plastic cone filters. He was impressed with the
company's knowledge of coffee and kept in contact over the next
year, expressing interest in working with them. A year later, he
joined Y as the Director of Marketing.
On a buying trip to Milan, Italy for Y, X noted that coffee bars
existed on practically every street. He learned that they not only
served excellent espresso, they also served as meeting places or
public squares; they were a big part of Italy's societal glue, and
there were 200,000 of them in the country.
39. X is a former Democratic mayor of Cincinatti Ohio, actor, and musician.
In 1982, X sought the Democratic nomination for governor of Ohio. TV
commercials for X's campaign referenced his use of a check to pay for an
unethical activity, saying that he was not afraid of the truth "even if it hurts".
X debuted on television on September 30, 1991. The show was developed
by WLWT to mimic the format and look of fellow talk show The Phil
Donahue Show, all the way down to X's haircut and glasses, making him look
like Phil. In early 1994, X and his new producer, Richard Dominick,
revamped the show's format in order to garner higher ratings. By 1998, it was
beating The Oprah Winfrey Show in many cities, and was reaching more
than 6.7 million viewers.
X portrayed his own talk show host character in the 1998
film Ringmaster, using the name ______ Farrelly. Ringmaster offers a
behind-the-scenes look at would-be guests who apply to a X-like show.
The same year, X also released an unrelated autobiography
named Ringmaster.
40. X made a cameo appearance in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged
Me as himself during an episode of his show featuring Dr. Evil and his
estranged son Scott Evil.
At most New York Yankees home games, whenever a fight breaks out, the
crowd will start chanting “X! X !X !" in reference to his talk show audience
chanting when multiple of his show's guests are fighting.
