OTHER :  We use it to refer to an additional thing or person. ANOTHER :  We use it to emphasize that something is additional to an existing number or quantity. So ,  WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
The noun they go with ANOTHER  is used with  SINGULAR  nouns and with  NUMBERS  followed by plural nouns.
E.g. Pride and Prejudice  is a very well-known book by Jane Austen.  Another  very popular  novel  is  Sense and Sensibility . SINGULAR NOUN
E.g. We’ve been waiting for more than an hour and now they’ve told us that we’ll have to wait for  another   two hours ! I hate airports! NUMBER  +  PLURAL NOUN
E.g. Hamlet  and  Macbeth  are excellent plays by Shakespeare.  Other  works  by the same author are the popular drama  Romeo and Juliet  and  the hilarious play  Mucho Ado About Nothing  PLURAL NOUN
