Audience feedback summary fonts
This was the questionnaire that I sent out to my
target audience for them to choose their favourite
font style that would be conventional for my film
title and storyline. At the top I inserted a short
paragraph explaining what the film is about to help
the audience get a better idea and to ensure that
the results that I obtained were reliable and
suitable for my product.
One member of my target audience
decided that this would be a
conventional font for my film poster,
however I feel that it doesn’t fit in with
the overall storyline and plot.
The majority of my target audience that
answered this questionnaire chose this to
be the favourite font for my film poster.
This is because it is conventional to horror
films but it also is appropriate for my story
line drawing in the target audience to
the film.
Again only one member of my target
audience chose this and others said that
although it is an effective font, it is too
simplistic for my particular product.
None of the target audience chose this
font as they didn’t believe that it was
conventional for a horror genre. They
also said that it does not draw the eye in
, therefore my poster would not be eye
catching and effective.
None of the target audience chose this
font as although it is a conventional
horror font, it does not fit in with the
overall storyline and plot of my product.
This also means that the wrong message
would be conveyed through the poster
of the film being bloody, which is not
true.
This was the questionnaire
that I sent out to my target
audience for them to
choose their favourite font
style that would be
conventional for a film
magazine that I am creating
to advertise my product. At
the top I inserted a short
paragraph explaining what
the font styles would help
me for. I did this to ensure
that the font style I used
were appealing for my
target audience.
The majority of my target audience that
answered chose this to be the favourite font for
my magazine masthead. This is because it is not
too conventional to one genre so would work
for a magazine that is trying to display and
advertise most genre of films. The use of the
black background draws the audience in to the
magazine title, making them read on.
Some of my target audience said that
this font would be conventional,
however, to use as a masthead I do not
think would work as it doesn’t draw the
eye in as it is quite simplistic.
This was also a popular font within my
target audience, and is very similar to the
one that was chosen, the only difference is
that there is no background, so it would not
be as effective at drawing in the eye.
Again it would work as it is not too generic.
None of my target audience chose this
font, as they felt that it would not work
for advertising a variety of different
films. It is also conventional to a mystery
genre rather than all genres.
None of my target audience chose this
font, as they felt that it would not as it is
too conventional for a horror genre
therefore meaning that it would not
work to advertise a variety of genres.
The majority of my target audience
that answered chose this to be the font
for my magazine cover lines. This is
because it is not a complex font and is
simple, easy to read and will not give
too much away about what it is written
about. It also appears quite bold so will
stand out on a magazine cover
drawing the audience in.
None of my target audience chose this
font, as they thought it was quite girly,
and would work better on a pop genre
magazine, therefore not mature
enough for a film magazine.
One member of my target audience
chose this font for my cover lines,
however, the use of block capitals
would be too in your face meaning that
it wouldn’t look discrete on a magazine
cover.
One member of my target audience
decided that this font would work to
advertise a variety of films, however, I
think that it would be too simplistic
within my magazine, and would get lost
among the other things going on.
None of my target audience chose this
font as it is not conventional for
magazine cover lines, due to not being
bold enough, so wouldn’t stand out to
the audience.
