Charisma
Power isn't related to job title, but it is a combination of Self-Confidence, Body
Language, Expressions and Voice.
Here's how to become more charismatic.
Some people seem naturally charismatic. They walk into a room and people are drawn to
them. People just listen to them.
Let’s learn how to be more charismatic.
1. Be comfortable with yourself, use voice levels and nonverbal cues that are
appropriate for the situation you are inn. (Power within)
2. Be engaged – Stay engaged. Be in the moment (Awareness)
3. Be enthusiastic – Be persuasive. Be ready with your plan A, B C and D
4. Be presentable - It takes just a fraction of a second for others to form an opinion and
once it’s there, it’s hard to change. Others size up people in less than a second. So,
pay attention to how you are presenting yourself. That’s not to say that you should
walk around dressed to the nines all the time, but make sure that how you look and
act is in keeping with who you are and what you’re trying to accomplish.
5. Listen with Intent – Communication should go beyond speaking by mastering the
other’s space and time. Listen empathetically. Warmth is a key component in
communication with others.
6. Be Respectful - Treat others the way they want to be treated, regardless of how you
feel about it. Embrace diversity in all of its forms. Make an effort to understand and
adjust to make others feel comfortable and engaged.
Make your presence felt. BE CHARISMATIC!
