Cheetahs are one of the fastest land animals, capable of running over 100 km/h. They have a spotted coat and long legs that enable quick bursts of speed to chase prey like antelopes weighing around 40kg. While cheetahs can sprint at 65mph, they overheat easily and may abandon the hunt if prey survives the initial chase. Their power lies in using lean bodies and long legs to achieve extraordinary speed for catching food.

HOW FAST CAN CHEETAHS RUN  Cheetah are one of the faster animals on the world. They run about 100 km per hour and 100 meters in 3.33 seconds.
WHAT DO CHEETAHS LOOK LIKE  They look like spotted cats with long legs and lean bodies. They have a white belly . Cheetahs also have round dark spots on their fur. Cheetahs weigh from 90 to 140 pounds.
WHAT DO CHEETAHS EAT!  They eat antelopes and other animals that weigh around 40kg. When chasing their prey cheetahs can get up to 65mph in just a few seconds! If the prey can stay alive for that long the cheetah will get over heated and give up the chase.
