Comparison of Productive & Reproductive performance of Dairy cow

1) The document compares the productive and reproductive performance of dairy cows in the char and plain land areas of Ulipur upazila, Bangladesh. It finds that crossbred cows (HF and Sahiwal) had higher average daily milk yields compared to indigenous Deshi cows over 4 lactations. Crossbred cows also had longer average lactation lengths. 2) Reproductive performance was also better in crossbred cows. They reached first heat and calving earlier, had fewer services per conception, higher conception rates, and shorter calving intervals than indigenous Deshi cows. Gestation lengths were similar between crossbred and indigenous cows. 3) In both productive and reproductive performance, crossbred cows generally outperformed indigenous
