INDIGENOUS MICRO-ORGANISMS ( IMO)
 IMO (Indigenous Microorganisms)- Beneficial
Micro-Organism
 IMO is a mysterious mixture of known and
unknown life forms that exercise enormous
power
 Decomposer and convert complex or organic
compounds
 Use as a soil conditioner
 Recycling waste and turning to valuable organic
material
Improve soil structure
Increase productivity and suppress
disease
Decomposer and convert complex or
organic compounds
Use as a soil conditioner
MATERIALS
1kg cooked rice
2kg molasses
RATIO: 1:1::1
 PROCEDURE
 Wash the rice properly
 Cook it normally (not to wet or too dry)
 Transfer the ¼ full cooked rice into the bamboo
pole( by volume)
 Cover of 2 layered manila paper and cellophane.
Tie with rubber bands and put markings
 Keep it under the bamboo forest. Put markings (
kelan ginawa, kelan ang harvest, sino gumawa,
pangalan ng concoctions)
 After 3-5 days collect the white colored molds (
black molds disregards)
Weigh the collected rice and molds then
add molasses in equal weigh ( 1:1) (
white and yellow –good bacteria)
Put in a plastic container and wipe the
mouth of the pail. Cover it with 2 layered
manila paper and put markings( ferment
for 1 week)
Drain the liquid and place in another
container, Loosen the cap for 1 week
IMO is ready to use after fermentation
USAGE
