“Environmental
care for a
sustainable
tomorrow.”
In a rapidly
developing world,
protection of the
environment is
important to UGL.
We care about the environment. We
are dedicated to reducing the impact of
our activities through responsible
business practices, including:
• Conserving resources
• Reducing waste and emissions
• Preventing environmental pollution
OUR ENVIRONMENT
We know that environmental
conservation is a significant issue in
today’s world. UGL contributes toward
a sustainable future by effectively
balancing environmental, technical,
economic and social objectives.
OUR APPROACH
All of UGL’s business
operations apply
our Environmental
Policy in order to reduce
our impact on the
environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Our environmental policy helps us
understand and manage the way our
business activities impact the
environment, as well as helps us identify
potential risks and opportunities.
• Greenhouse gas emissions as a result
of our energy use
• Greenhouse gas emissions from
business travel
• The production of waste going to
landfill
• The environmental impact from
our suppliers
SIGNIFICANT
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS
OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
UGL’s reduced carbon footprint
involves an acknowledgment to climate
change through minimized energy
consumption, publicly reporting our
emissions and water usage and more.
ENVIRONMENTAL
CERTIFICATION
UGL has achieved a certification in
Australia for Environmental Management
System to the International Standard
ISO14001 and our Singapore operations
have achieved certification to ISO 14001.
ENVIRONMENTAL

Our environmental obligations are regulated
under the Australian Federal and State law
including the reporting requirements of
the National Greenhouse Energy Reporting
