DIFFERENCE CREATES ENERGY PRAGYAN SHARMAVIJAY PANDEY (S.D. BANSAL ,INDORE)
INTRODUCTION:PRINCIPLE: “ SEEBECK EEFECT “The Seebeck effect is the conversion of temperature differences directly into electricity. The effect is that a voltage, the thermoelectric EMF, is created in the presence of a temperature difference between two different metals or semiconductors. This causes a continuous current in the conductors if they form a complete loop.
The voltage created is of the order of several microvolts per Kelvin difference. One such combination, copper-constantan, has a Seebeck coefficient of 41 microvolts per Kelvin at room temperature.

SA and SB are the Seebeck coefficient of the metals A and B as a function of temperature, and T1 and T2 are the temperatures of the two junctions. The Seebeck coefficients are non-linear as a function of temperature, and depend on the conductors' absolute temperature, material, and molecular structure. If the Seebeck coefficients are effectively constant for the measured temperature range, the above formula can be approximated as:
The Seebeck effect is commonly used in a device called a thermocouple (because it is made from a coupling or junction of materials, usually metals).Several thermocouples connected in series are called a thermopile, which is sometimes constructed in order to increase the output voltage since the voltage induced over each individual couple is small.

Types :K , E , J , N , B , R , SType E ( chromel –constantan) has a high output of 68 µV/°C .Type J (iron– constantan ) has a high output of 55 µV/°C.Type T (copper–constantan) has a high output of 43 µV/°C. But semiconductors have an out put of 100 – 300  µV/°C.
NOTIONS:We need two basic things :1) Sink2) SourceHOW TO GET IT ?1) Using drainage underground water pipes as sink !!!Because flow of water from these pipes act as coolant.Using solar energy as source of heat .

Source
Hot pot as a source and environment as sink .The output is about 8 watt and the light is a 12 volt 15 amp auto lamp..
Ocean thermal energy conversion uses the difference between cooler deep and warmer shallow or surface ocean waters to produce useful work, usually in the form of electricity.
Geothermal energy. With an engine exhaust gas temperature of 250°C and a coolant temperature of 50°C, power outputs of over 300 Watts have been achieved but this drops to 150 Watts when the coolant temperature increases to 90° C.We can use body temperature !
Why this ?One 165 watt PV panel produces 0.6 kWh of electricity per day .One 25 watt TEG also produces 0.6 kWh of electricity per day.Unlike solar these are not dependant on the sun to producing electric power. If you have a heat source they can produce power day and night, 24/7-365!They have no moving parts to break or maintenance to perform.
As quite as mouse.Easy amplification :Parallel combination Increase in CurrentSeries combination Increase in voltageVast working domain :Kitchen  Houses  Industries  RTG(radioisotope thermoelectric generator) Satellites…….
Conclusion :This unit provide us reliable , echo friendly , cheapest source of energy ; which will cut down the heavy bills.Manufacturing cost very less per unit , require less capital.Targeting area is very large we can sell it to a farmer from a village , to wise of metro city , or to a scientist working on satellite.
