E-jeepneys, short for electrical  jeepneys, were the brainchild of Green Renewable Independent Power Producers, Inc. or GRIPP in partnership with Mr Robert Puckett, President of Solar Electric Company in the Philippines.  e-Jeepney in Makati

The Visit at the e-jeepney Station We were entertained by a MAPSA officer to answer questions about the e-jeepney Our group visited the e-jeepney station at the Makati Fire Station.  e-Jeepney in Makati

The source of energy are the chargable six  wet cell batteries  located under the passenger seats.  The batteries are charged for 6 hours and after full charging, it can run a total of 100km. e-Jeepney in Makati

A chance to take a ride and tour around the  Makati’s central business district.   As we are toured  around the area, we observed that  the e-jeep has no tailpipe emission. A proof that  indeed it does not contribute to air pollution. e-Jeepney in Makati

The e-jeepney’s ride is comfortable. Its  being small makes its mobility to be fine. According to Newton’s second law of motion, small mass has greater acceleration keeping the force constant. The size of the e-jeepney is designed according to this. It has safety features also like horizontal bar for passengers to hold to overcome inertia. e-Jeepney in Makati

E-jeepney is timely now that the air we breathe is already polluted due to air pollution caused by too much carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide emission. At least, this is a good example that we can have an alternative way of transport which is environmental friendly. e-Jeepney in Makati
