The eagle has the longest lifespan of its species but must undergo a difficult process of change as it ages. When it reaches its 40s, its talons and beak become unusable and its wings too heavy to fly. The eagle then has to fly to a mountain top and spend 150 days regenerating itself by breaking its beak against rocks, allowing a new one to grow, and plucking its talons and feathers to be replaced. After this process, the eagle can live for another 30 years.
9. There the eagle knocks its’ beak against a rock until it plucks it out.
10. After plucking it out, the eagle will wait for a new beak to grow back and then it will pluck out its’ talons.
11. When its’ new talons grow back, the eagle starts plucking its’ old-aged feathers.

13. Many times, in order to survive we have to start a change process. Why is change needed ? We sometimes need to get rid of old memories, habits and other past traditions. Only freed from past burdens, can we take advantage of the present.
