Essay For Medical School Admission
True–born caring person, with an open heart, and a deep sensation of satisfaction after helping
people. I was less than 10 years old when my mother used to call me " the mother of the family"
because I was already caring for my siblings, making myself available to those in need.
Since early childhood, I have been fascinated by the complexity of the human body. The curiosity for
its functioning and potential dysfunction led me to medical school and allowed me to successfully
complete my training at the University of Brescia In Italy; far away from my family, fending for
myself, learning a different language, living in a different culture and studying without help.

I have been living in the United States and preparing myself to continue my journey in medicine. To
this end, shadowing various doctors in the Washington, DC metropolitan area; has introduced me to
the American health care system and also enabled me to keep my direct patient care knowledge
current.
Independent, hardworking, eager to learn and a team player, inspire to explore the Internal Medicine
field in a friendly and a supportive environment where Faculty, residents, and Staffs work as a team,
while challenging myself and improving the quality of patient care through best practice as well as
excellent patient education, thus contributing to strengthening your residency program.
I will be an asset to a strong academic program such as yours that will empower and trust me under
the guidance of great faculty. Thereby enabling me to make a difference in patients and their
families lives and also to be a helpful physician in the community.
Upon completion of the residency program, I would like to join a fellowship program in Infectious
Diseases with particular attention to HIV patients to better serve them wherever
