The sarcoplasmic reticulum is a fluid filled system of membranous sacs. This system of sacs is similar to
smooth endplasmic reticulum in non muscle cells. In a relaxed muscle fiber the sarcoplasmic reticulum
store calcium ions, the release of these calcium cells, trigger muscle contraction.
There are two types of structures which are even smaller, they are known as thick and thin filaments. The
filaments inside of a myofibril do not extend the entire length of a muscle cell, instead they are arranged
in compartments called sarcomeres. The darker middle portion of a sarcomere is called the A band. The A
band extends the entire length of the thick filaments. The A band is a zone of overlap. The I band is a
lighter less dense area that contains the rest of the thin filaments, but has no thick filaments. A Z disk

We bred our ewes with a Suffolk ram in the 3rd week of August on a 1 acre pasture. We hope in the future
to expand the pasture to 4 acres. 3 years ago my dad put up a 50x45 foot pole barn and seeded a 1 acre
pasture. We were then able to bring our flock of sheep to our home. This has given me way more
experience with the sheep. I do the daily chores, help tag, vaccinate, castrate and tail, help with lambing,
clip hooves, and help shear. I also kept track of ewes the buck chalked, dates ewes lambed, weights of the
lambs, and overall health of the flock. I am really enjoying having this responsibility. For the past 9 years
I have shown 15 market lambs, a pig, and multiple heifers all at the Racine County Fair. Just last year I

that Richard Eugene Hickock and Perry Edward Smith confessed to, and were hanged for the murder of
the Clutter family. However, it may not be true that Capote s new form of novel, the nonfiction novel, is
entirely factual as he claims in numerous interviews. Instead Capote uses a creative interpretation of
events to manipulate the characters and to advance the narrative of In Cold Blood. Despite Capote s desire
to write a book that was completely factual, the addition of information intended to influence the
audience, the characterization of Perry, and fabrication of certain events all lead to a book that is less than
factual. The novel, In Cold Blood, is Truman Capote s first attempt to deviate from the traditional mold of
the novel, towards a fact based work of literature, that he called a nonfiction novel. Capote describes his
