Beyonce is a Grammy award winning artist and has sold millions of records worldwide. She is also a businesswoman with several beauty products and clothing lines. She has also appeared in many movies and commercials.

But she is currently living in a $6.5 million dollar mansion in Indian Creek Village, Florida. She is there with husband Jay-Z. Biographical Information Beyonce was born on September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas. Her father Mathew Knowles is a record manager. Her mother Tina is a hair stylist and costume designer. During her childhood, she took part in her school's performing arts. These were Beyonces first exposure to dancing and singing. Musical Career Knowles father would eventually manage the girl group Destiny’s Child of which Beyonce would be a member. Destiny’s Child would become one of the best selling groups today. After the group went on a break, Knowles embarked on a solo career. Her debut album Dangerously in Love came out in 2003. Featuring the hit songs "Baby Boy" and "Crazy in Love”, it sold millions of copies. That year Beyonce won five Grammy awards. After Destiny’s Child disbanded in 2005, Beyonce released B'Day, her second album. It became another hit with the chart topping songs "Beautiful Liar" and "Irreplaceable". In 2008 she came out with I Am... Sasha Fierce, her third solo album. It spawned four singles: "Sweet Dreams", "Halo”, "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" and "If I Were a Boy”. She won six Grammys for that album. Her fourth album 4 was released in 2011. Acting Career and Other Pursuits Knowles first acting job was in the 2001 musical film Carmen: A Hip Hopera. Her other notable film appearances are in Cadillac Records (2008), Dreamgirls (2006) and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002). The House of Dereon is a women's fashion line that Knowles and her mother established in 2006. Its products were featured at the Destiny Fulfilled tour. Some of its products are outerwear, fur, handbags, denim and sportswear. She collaborated with House of Brands to produce shoes. Earlier in 2004, Beyonce and her mother set up Beyond Productions to handle the House of Dereon brand management and licensing.
