 A critic by the name of Robert Fox while analysing two classic
novels, X andY, had the following to say regarding the title ofY –
 After the success of X, nothing would have seemed more natural
than to bring out another novel using again the formula of antithesis
and alliteration for the title. It should be pointed out that the
qualities of the title are not exclusively assigned to one or the other
of the protagonists.
 Which two novels, which were also used to differentiate between
those who voted leave and stay in the Brexit poll?

 It was originally erected in 1923 and was supposed to stand
only for 18 months. However, its future association with its
surroundings had it remain there for much longer. As a result, it
sustained much damage and deterioration – including one
suicide committed from it in 1932 and a car crash into one of its
components in the early 1940s. By 1978, it was at the brink of
collapse when a campaign headed by someone set out to
restore the same – aptly having nine donors contributing a
total of 250,000 dollars to restore each of its components.
 Which landmark is this? Which hedonist headed the restoration
campaign?

 Haseena Parkar(2017) is a biographical crime film that is based
on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister, Haseena.
 Its trailer was screened on the afternoon of July 19.The venue
for the same was chosen owing to its proximity to Dongri, where
the two siblings grew. However, this announcement did not go
very well with one section of citizens, as it would result in a
particular first in more than two decades.
 What explained the resentment above?

 The origins of this invention lie in car paint jobs. In the 1920s, a two-
tone paint job was popular for cars and a headache for painters. The
look was created by painting the car one color, applying a barrier to
the painted portion, and then painting the next section. A number of
such “barriers” were imposed, but most of them would leave a
residue on the paint that was difficult to remove. The invention in
question got its name as a result of the creator’s boss scolding him
when he was trying to test the exact quantity of material needed to
ensure no residue is left when it is removed after use.
 What invention, whose name has nothing to do with a demonym?
 Which company owns the trademark to it?

enclosures, and for which, Coney charged 25 cents to whoever
wanted to view them. The exhibition left people in awe, and
later, most of these specimen would be thankful to him on its
success— such enclosures later receiving a warm welcome in his
workplace and its likes thereafter.

 By now, it’s well known that theTata Group was founded in 1868.
 1868 also saw the birth of another brand that came about as a
result of one Edmund constantly trying to grow crops in his
garden in Louisiana. After experimenting with one such crop
(whose freshness is today checked by comparing it to a little red
stick), he mixed it with vinegar and salt and packaged it inside
cork-top two-ounce bottles. Around a century later, these bottles
found much use when they had small booklets wrapped around
them and sent to lands about 4000 miles west in camouflaged
containers to help a certain group of people survive.
 Which brand is this? What was the utility of these booklets?

 A Dec 2014 report in The Guardian revealed that a certain privilege
offered by PL clubs to a particular category of its fans was actually
chargeable between 450 and 600 pounds in the case of a few clubs.
 Most of these packages included, other than the privilege, a free
kit, signed footballs, photos of the day and match tickets. Some
clubs describe the deals as “great value for money” and say that
there are long waiting lists for the same, yet supporters have
questioned the exorbitant charges as it restricts the poorer strata of
fans from availing it.
 What exactly is this pampering source of revenue for PL clubs that
burns a maximum of 22 pockets every match?

 Athlone Castle was a ship built in 1936 by Harland &Wolff at
Belfast. It served as a major plot point in a 1939 event, the 99th of
its kind. This event was the subject of the 2017 book Edging
Towards Darkness, which presented the jarring juxtaposition of the
____ ticking over at the pace of a grandfather’s clock winding
slowly down, while Europe hurtled inexorably towards war.The
people involved in the event were unanimously dissatisfied with its
result that had each of them deliver a marathon performance, only
to see the farcical end.

 In astronomy, axial precession refers to the gradual shift in the
orientation of the earth's axis of rotation.
 At certain timestamps of the year, the sun can be found in
these two constellations (image follows). Over the years, the
two constellations it has been a part of (during the same
timestamps) have kept changing owing to axial precession. A
very long time back, one such combination of constellations
gave their names to something else that has stuck ever since,
despite the components of this duo changing over time.
 Whose nomenclature am I talking about? Images of the
present two constellations follow.

 “He speaks too much about God. My mind resents the vagueness of such
references . . . I have fed upon the philosophy of the Upanishads all my
life, but there is an aspect of [his] mysticism that I dislike.”
 This is a quote from a certain man’s reassessment of someone (and
something) he was intensely involved with during the period of June
to November 1912, which largely contributed to a certain momentous
first, and, in turn, ending the Occidental monopoly. The religious and
devotional aspect that had enamored him to the man in the first
place, later became shallow and uninspired in his eyes.

 In the wake of a global event, in an Aug 2016 interview to Slate,
Barry Nease talked about much of the preparation that goes into
making a particular choice.
 As per him, such a choice should fit the individual’s personality,
create appropriate bursts of energy for the many tumbling
elements involved in it and pump up the crowd. The choice, which
is actually a mix, is designed in such a way that any abrupt changes
in its tempo are easily perceived by the individual making the
above choices and is therefore able to respond to the change.

 Zinc Chromate is a chemical compound that finds its use as
coating over iron or aluminium materials. However, it also found
use in art when a 19th century artist decided to use its yellowish-
green look to depict a large portion of a particular artwork – which
saw a lot of other experimentation, including applying the
paintbrush in small strokes in areas close to each other, thereby
creating an impression that is not achieved by mixing colours but
by the superposition of pure colours on the retina. Except, over

found rare use in art since then.
