Experience with Cleshar Contract Services Ltd. (Feb 2014 – July 2015)
Senior Construction Manager – Working within WIMBLEDON Line Capacity Improvements Project
for TFL - London Tram Link.
This project was mainly Design and build of mix of CIVIL, P-Way, Signalling and Telecoms works. This was in two parts, one
of which is upgrading existing single file line to twin tracking between Mitcham Junction / Beddington Lane tram stops. It was
involved with the following design and build elements:
• New concrete foundations for new OLE structures,
• Design and upgrade of 700m long - underground track drainage, to include for linin, jetting and patch repairs as well
as construction of new catch pits chambers, with 4no UTX’s and under track directional drilling and shaft
construction works,
• Design and upgrade of new service’s - draw pit chambers with new multi ducting system cable routes and
design/construction of Cess footpath,
• Design and build of new external switch cabinets and signaling equipment’s concrete bases with S&T (signaling and
telecoms) cables including new fibers,
• Design and build of embankment, embankment’s support, concrete retaining walls, OLE support structures, metal
fences, handrails and gates.
• Design and build of new speed signage and warning signage systems with concrete foundations / bases.
Other Civil associated works such as a ramp construction, anti-tress pass cattle grids installation, new platform / track
crossings, tendering, resource and technical management. My position was managing and coordinating Civil design and
leading technical delivery with all liaison required between different parties, the client, contractors and the design team.
Co-ordination with other companies and local authority and obtaining statutory approvals for the design works,
Prepare and producing relevant paper works, manage and oversee implementation of different work packages,
Senior construction manager working on the East London Line, Platforms extensions as part of
London Over ground Capacity Improvement Program.
Looking after CIVIL / M&E Design, structural assessments and Construction works, as part of the East
London Line - platform extensions scheme on the following stations: Haggerston, Shadwell, Wapping, Surrey
Quays, Highbury & Islington and Clapham Junction station.
Responsible for managing a team of engineers, responsible for ensuring the technical content and quality of the
deliverables produced comply with London Overground Standards. Produce progress reports and ensure that
programme and man hour targets were met. Provides support and mentoring to my team in both managerial and
technical issues. Carried out performance and development reviews of the group as well as interviewing candidates. This
included carrying out and producing principal inspection reports, AIP’s and risk assessments. Successfully completed in
Oct 2014.

Senior Project Manager / CRE Civil and Construction reporting to the project CEM on the following
projects:
Network Rail Infrastructure Projects – CP4 Enhance spending phase 2 - Hidden critical elements. This project is an
NEC - Design and build Rail project of under bridge hidden critical elements surveys, inspections, desk study and issue
reports, ballast board replacement or installation of new.
Network Rail Infrastructure Projects - South Hampstead railway station - Design and build Rail project the
proposed work involves the construction of a 115m long bored pile retaining structure and in total 203 piles of 600mm
diameter and a depth of 17.5m were to be constructed and connected into a reinforced concrete pile cap. Re-instatement

of a section of disturbed/demolished platform, brick repair and drainage works.
Network Rail Signalling projects - Demolition of Hampden Park Signal Box and 2 no. Pway Huts as part of the East
Sussex Coast Resignalling project. This project is an NEC - Design and build Rail project mainly the Demolition and
temporary scaffold works, protection of services, traffic management, stripping out and heavy demolition works to the
Hampden Park Signal Box and 2no Pway Huts.
Network Rail Signalling projects – Basingstoke Campus Enabling Works. This was an NEC - Design and build
project. Main scheme targets are: construction of two number under track crossings UTX for the SSE-33KVA overhead
cable diversion and 11KVA power supply to the site, construction of new concrete bases for external switch cabinets,
supply and install external switch gear/cubical with switch rooms, removal of Japanese Knot Weed, construction of Haul
Road and other associated works.
Network Rail Signalling projects - MML Junction lighting scheme. This is a pre-designed Rail project, involved
mainly with the supply and installation of trackside lighting at Carlton Road Junction, Dock Road Junction and Kentish
Town Junction. To provide an appropriate level of illumination that will permit maintenance activities currently undertaken
in daylight to be carried out during the night. Also to enable easy access and egress to and from the Junction area and to
give quick and easy general Task Lighting for regular maintenance of the Railways Junctions. This allowed safe
navigation around the site during a possession in hours of darkness.
Network Rail / Cross Rail and HOCHTIEF UK - construction Ltd. Bridge parapet modifications works in Slough-London.
This is NEC - Design and build project. The purpose of this project is to enable the introduction of Overhead Line
Equipment (OLE) to the Crossrail West surface works from Heathrow airport Junction to Maidenhead. As a precursor to
the electrification, four bridge reconstructions including Middle green Road Bridge and Trenches Bridge within the
Borough of Slough are to be partly demolished and reconstructed to provide sufficient electrical clearance. To give
adequate protection from the OLE equipment to be installed on the route, the parapets of another 12no. Bridges,
including 9no within the Borough of Slough, are to be altered to achieve compliance with HMRI overhead electrification
requirements.
Canary Wharf Contractors – Canary Wharf Highway and junction alterations Works – A Design and build Civil and
Highway project. Alteration of West - ferry Road, Marsh Wall, Bank Street and Heron Quay road and Roundabout to
form a new highway junction. The client is Canary Wharf Contractors Ltd.
Wilmot Dixon - Woolwich Central – Sewer Diversion and Shaft Construction for the principle contractor Willmott Dixon
and client Thames Water and Tesco. Design and build Civil and Highway project. The project is mainly construction of
4m internal diameter x 22m deep pre-cast concrete shaft, timber heading and breaking in to the existing Victorian sewer
pipes (2no.) with installation of 600mm diameter new pipe line of sewer then diverting the flow.
Ipswich station – AFA scheme, This was an NEC - Design and build Rail project. Construction of a new footbridge
with two sets of stairs, two brick lifts shafts, new CCTV cameras and PA systems, platform tactile paving, local surfacing,
canopy removal and dismantles of an existing station building, etc.
Audley End Station - AFA scheme - Design and build Rail project. Construct of new footbridge with two lift shafts,
new CCTV cameras and PA systems, platform edge tactile paving, new surfacing, new boundary walls, etc.
St. Albans City Station - AFA scheme - Design and build Rail project Construction of three lift shafts build station
extension & new ticket office, construct two retail units, refurbish existing footbridge and existing building enhancement.
Network Rail - Demolishing of Bridge 19 over Christmas and erecting new brick walls adjacent to the tracks.
LUL - Waterloo underground station, Building step free access for the Waterloo and City lines.
Brent Council - Carlyon Road to Mount Pleasant over Canal - Footbridge reconstruction - Demolish an existing
concrete footbridge and install new steel footbridge over the Grand Union Canal with construction of new brick and
concrete ramps and stainless steel handrails, supply and install of 33KVA power cables, Improvement to approaching
