This is a digital magazine the genre is horror movies. The purpose of this magazine is to Promote the horror film Halloween it’s in very large text also the front cover shows the 2 main characters Laurie Strode and Michael Myers these are very famous as this is an old film and a classic so having them on the front cover drags a lot of attention towards it as of how popular the original films are. The color of black and green Are spooky colors as black represents darkness and green represents a ghost’s plasma also the black helps the word Halloween the title of the film standout as it is white which is the opposite of black also the sub images are well stroked the outline with the green on the photos make it stand out. The shot size of the 2 main images are medium shots as you can’t see their legs but that’s mostly because their clothing blends in with the black background as they are wearing black which represents the Halloween theme again this is the mise en scene on this is there face is serious and Michael is looking right at Laurie which is if you see Halloween before is that he wants to kill her and she wants to kill him. You will have a personal relationship with these character as if you have seen Halloween before as these characters have been in all the past Halloweens which means these characters will mean a lot to you which will make you pay more attention to the magazine which will help attract more viewers the lightning on Laurie’s face is a lot brighter than Michaels because his mask is a dark green which also blends in with the colors on the background and this is so you can see Michael is the antagonist and Laurie is the protagonist in the story. The symbolic code is basically that Michael wants to kill Laurie you can just see the way he looks at her in the photo while Laurie is giving us direct mode address she’s looking at us which shows the personal relationship.
