Fruition Sciences provides a wireless sensor network and web-based decision tool to help vineyards optimize irrigation for fruit quality. Sensors measure soil moisture and plant water status in real-time to detect water stress. Data is stored, processed and accessible via a web application to develop site-specific irrigation strategies at different vine growth stages. Wineries report being able to better regulate irrigation and improve fruit quality with Fruition Sciences' solution. The company is led by two founders with experience in viticulture, engineering and business, and has received several awards and funding for its technology.
