Geological Mapping of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
(PC-I Cost Rs. 433.730 Million)
Goals & Objectives of the Project:
 The objective of the project is to acquire complete surface knowledge
regarding geology of the KP on scale of 1:50,000.
 Moreover, potential areas would be mapped on 1:10000 or 1:5000 scale
 To serve as a primary data source to attract investors and for further
detail minerals resource exploration.
 To have a geological map that presents carefully and competently
compiled and well organized geological information.
 To have a 3D model of the subsurface geology of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Outcomes:
 Soft & Hard copies of Geological Maps including 3D models and
cross section of the project area (Scale 1:50,000)
 Geo-database of the mapped area supported by ArcGIS
 Identification of new mineral potential sites.
