Global warming is caused by an increase in greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide that trap heat in the atmosphere, causing the earth's temperature to rise. As temperatures increase, glaciers melt and sea levels rise, submerging low-lying islands, while forests are destroyed by fires and acid rain exacerbated by pollution. Individual actions like planting trees, driving less, halting deforestation, and reducing emissions can help limit the effects of global warming.
2. Global warming is when the earth heats up and the temperature
increases
More recently, the temperatures have been rising, causing more
dangers for people, animals, plants and our environment.
3. The greenhouse effect is when the temperature goes up, on Earth, since
the sun’s heat and light energy is trapped in the earth’s atmosphere.
While the heat from the sun enters our atmosphere, the heat has trouble
leaving out of our atmosphere
4. Industrialization
Increase in chemical fertilizers on croplands.
When we throw our garbage away, the garbage goes to landfills. They are full of
garbage. The garbage is then sometimes burned. This sends an enormous
amount of greenhouse gasses into the air and makes global warming even worse.
Another factor that makes global warming worse is when trees are cut down. Trees
and other plants collect and absorb carbon dioxide (CO2), which is a greenhouse
gas.
7. Global warming is affecting many parts of the world, including melting
glaciers, creating the sea to rise even more, and when that happens,
the water covers many low land islands.
Global Warming also destroys many huge forests. The pollution that
causes global warming is linked to acid rain. Acid rain gradually
destroys almost everything it touches. Global warming is also
causing many more fires that wipe out whole forests. This happens
because global warming can make the earth very hot. In forests,
some plant’s and tree’s leaves can be so dry that can catch on fire.
11. Plant more trees: Planting trees can help very much in reducing global warming
then any other method. They not only give oxygen but also take in carbon dioxide,
during the process of photosynthesis, which is the main source of global warming.
Drive less: By driving less you are not only saving fuel but also helping in reducing
global warming.
Stop deforestation: Reducing tropical deforestation can significantly lower global
warming emissions.
Reduce emissions: In order to effectively address global warming, we must
significantly reduce the amount of heat-trapping emissions we are putting into the
atmosphere.
Encourage: Encourage others to stop global warming and also spread awareness.
