Case History 1:
Place: Ohio state
Reservoir description: sandstone
Fluid characteristics: wax appearance temperature 32 °C (90 °F), high wax content,
viscosity 10.3 mPa×s, API gravity 30
Development history: average oil production of single well was 1.2 bbl./day, water-cut
was 98.4%
Huff-puff: 1% HE-BioTM
, 300 gal, shut-in 10 days
Result: oil production of a single well enhanced from 1.2 bbl./day to 9.6 bbl./day
Case History 2:
Place: Illinois state
Reservoir description: sandstone
Fluid characteristics: high wax content 32%, viscosity 7.8 mPa×s
Issue: wax block, average oil production/well was 0.2 bbl./day, water-cut was 99%
Paraffin removal: 2% HE-BioTM
, 100 gal, shut-in 7 days
Result: oil tube cleaned very clearly with no more wax block; oil production of a single
well enhanced from 0.2 bbl./day to 4.8 bbl./day
Case History 3:
Place: Ohio state
Reservoir description: sandstone
Fluid characteristics: high wax content wax, high WAT
Issue: wax block, clean the oil tube
Paraffin removal: 2% HE-BioTM
, 100 gal, circulate in oil tube via pump
Result: oil tube cleaned very clearly, no wax block
Case History 4:
Place: Ohio state
Reservoir description: sandstone
Fluid characteristics: oil viscosity 10 mPa×s
Development history: average oil production of single well was 0.5 bbl./day, water-cut
was 99%
Paraffin removal: 1.2% HE-BioTM
, 300 gal, shut-in 10days
Result: oil production of a single well enhanced from 0.5 bbl./day to 12.4 bbl./day
