CHARACTER OUTLINE
 Allie Timmons
 She is 16 years old.

 She has just moved to Summer Bay because her
  mother is the new doctor.
 Her father Died when she was four.

 Is quiet and shy.

 Wears mainly jeans and t-shirts.

 Doesn’t really fit in.

 Is 1.7m tall.

 Very Smart.
CHARACTER OUTLINE CONTINUED
 She attends Summer Bay High School
 She tops all of her classes in the first year.

 She doesn’t make any new friends

 She is in year 12 at school.

 She gets a job at The Diner.
PLOT TWIST
 One day Xavier comes up to her and asks her out,
  she later discovers that it is a dare.
 A couple of days later while she is working she
  faints and is taken into hospital.
 She is told that she has a brain tumor.

 Has chemotherapy but still goes downhill.

 When she finally starts to recover Xavier comes in
  and says that he is sorry and that he really likes
  her.
 After Xavier and Allie have dated for a year they
  both want to go to university in the city and go for a
  drive to find a flat.
PLOT TWIST CONTINUED
 One the way to town Allie falls unconscious, Xavier
  trying to wake her up crosses over the centre line
  and has to swerve to miss an oncoming car and
  they fall down the cliff.
 Nobody discovers the car until the next day.

 Xavier is dead but Allie is in a coma without much
  chance of waking.
 Two weeks later her mother decides to turn her life
  support off.
STEREOTYPES
 Allie is stereotyped to be a quiet type of girl who
  wouldn’t have much danger in her life.
 When she is found to have a brain tumor it shocks
  the whole community that somebody like her could
  have a serious illness.
 My character wouldn’t make much of an impression
  on people because people hardly notice that she is
  there.
HOME AND AWAY
 Home and Away was released in 1988 by
  Australian television network Seven.
 It has very high ratings for an Australian show.

 Seven network also produced A Country Practice,
  Sons and Daughters, Blue Heelers, All Saints and
  Headland.
 Home and Away’s main competition is Neighbours.

 The shows main viewers are 18-29 year old
  females.
 This show would be watched by the young and
  hopeless TAG group.

 The products that would appeal to this audience
  would be hair/ beauty products, cleaning products,
  make-up, furniture, clothing/ fashion and sales.
 The producers of the show are John Holmes and
  Cameron Welsh.
