The show How I Met Your Mother ran for 6 seasons from 2005 to 2014, starring Josh Radnor and telling the story of Ted Mosby recounting to his children how he met their mother. It uses a non-linear narrative structure with Ted's stories set in the past. The show follows Ted and his group of friends in their late 20s living in New York City, dealing with relationships and other issues typical of Americans in that age group. It was a popular comedy that received critical acclaim and commercial success over its run.

Unique conceptI find that its interesting how, the show is set in the present, yet its a story being told in the past sense. Non linear narrative.Also how even though there are 5 main characters, the show is initially centred around 1 of them. As its of a group of tales of how he came closer to meeting the mother of his kids, hence the title.
