Sodium lignosulphonate is a brown powder chemical that is used in a variety of industrial applications due to its dispersing and adhesive properties. It has a pH between 7-11 and is composed of 45-60% sodium lignosulphonate. Usage:
In the field of concrete additives, the sodium lignosulphonate series product can be applied as
common water reducing admixture and built material of series multifunction high-performance
water reducing admixture. The products can be directly adopted as additive in the concrete,
moreover they also can be compounded with such high-performance water reducing admixture as
naphthalene series and melamine series etc, and they are also ideal materials for series retarding
agents and pumping agents etc.
The sodium lignosulphonate series products can be adopted as the adhesive in the briquetting
procedure in the vertical retort zinc smelters .
The sodium lignosulphonate series products can be used as embryo reinforcing agents in the fields
of pottery and porcelain and refractory materials, they can increase the fluidity of the slurry and
thus to improve the strength of the embryo.
In the field of water –coal paste, the sodium lignosulphonate series products can be adopted as the
main compound materials.
In agriculture the sodium lignosulphonate series products can be applied as the dispersant agents
of pesticides and pelting adhesive of fertilizers and feedstuffs.
Multi- purpose use:
Sodium lignousulphonate are used for production of technical carbon , in petroleum industry, in
founding, for concrete production, in construction, for production of wood chipboards, fiber and
mineral wool boards, for veneer and plywood production, in road- building.
In particular it is used:
As a thinning agent of the raw meal to decrease cement slurry humidity for cement production.
As a bonding agent for making sand blends and core sand mixtures in iron, steel and nonferrous
founding.
For sintering of ferrous metal ores; for cantabiles production; for performing.
As lubricating liquids and cooling mixtures for hot stamping and forging.
2. As a foam former for acid etching of metal.
As a sizing agent of the cellulose- containing chains in textile industry.
As a plasticizing agent for production of the gypsum plasterboards.
For palletizing of technical carbon and porous filler produced of no coherent powder materials and
charges.
As dispersant and a stabilizer of suspensions for producing chemical crop protection agent.
As lubricating liquids and cooling mixtures for hot stamping and forging.
As feed stock and a dispersant synthetic tanning substance.
For production of wood chipboards, fiber and mineral wool boards, veneer and plywood.
As a plasticizing agent for cement and concrete.
Sodium lignousulphonate is used for plasticization of the concrete mix, i.e. for increasing its
mobility from the grade p3. As a side effect of the sodium lignousulphonate use, setting
retardation of the concrete
mix (up to 2 hours) is observed. It allows to transport concrete for considerable distance or to
place solid concrete constructions.
Beside the plasticizing effect sodium lignousulphonate has also the water- reducing one (up to 10-
15 %) that allows to manufacture equally flow concrete strength.
Admixture has moderate air- entraining effect ymepehho (till 3.5 %) .
As an agent regulating main parameters of the drilling fluids for oil wells and gassers.
As a reagent for flotation of ores.
