genres. 200 films since 1997 - successful
• Distributed several crime thrillers, similar to our film.
Two examples are 'Captivity' and 'Narc.‘
• Distributes British films as well as American films.

How would our film be released?
1. Theatrical release.
– It will be released on a national scale at all main UK cinemas as it is
mainly specific to British audiences
– May possibly have a European release, similar to the Lionsgate
distributed film ‘Testament of Youth.’ E.g. France, Belgium,
Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, Sweden. The genre of film noir is has
been fairly popular in European film.
2. TV and VOD.
– Lionsgate Home Entertainment is the home video and DVD distribution
arm of Lions Gate Entertainment, which finished 2012 with a 9.5%
market share, in the top 5 studios. Lionsgate also supports UltraViolet.
– Other online streaming sites it may be shown on include Netflix and
Amazon Instant Video.
– It should be available to buy in DVD and Blu-Ray formats in shops such
as ASDA roughly a year after its theatrical release.
– It is likely that it will be seen on television eventually on channels such
as Sky Movies and Film 4.
