Location Recce and
    Decisions
Difficulties
• Some of the difficulties that we faced when deciding on locations
was due to the permissions that they may involve.
• The church interior would have helped our trailer look like
different scenes from a film rather than one consecutive trailer.
However, the themes that our film involves may have been
  unwanted by the church.
• We also found that Steph’s house was too modern looking for the
cult like themes that we were trying to produce.

How did we overcome this?

With no permission to film in the interior of the church, we instead took
some exterior shots.
Instead of using Steph’s house we used Lauren’s Grandmas in Saddleworth.
Here we had a wider range of locations and the look of an old village.
Changes
Why? How?

We decided not to film in We changed our Saddleworth location

What worked well?
• The decisions to go to Lauren’s Grandmas was
very successful as here we filmed in lots of
locations. The bedroom looked overly sweet
  and was a good lighting.
• One room featured a dining table, a book shelf
and a piano. Because it was a big room we
were able to shoot around each piece of
furniture whilst deceiving the audience that
  we were in different places.
