The document discusses the difficulties faced in choosing filming locations for a trailer, and how those difficulties were overcome. Permission to film inside a church was not granted, so exterior church shots were taken instead. A house looked too modern, so filming took place at someone's grandmother's home which had an old village aesthetic and various rooms. Rural locations were chosen over more distant ones for safety and accessibility. Scenes planned for the church were ultimately removed from the teaser trailer.

Difficulties • Some of the difficulties that we faced when deciding on locations was due to the permissions that they may involve. • The church interior would have helped our trailer look like different scenes from a film rather than one consecutive trailer. However, the themes that our film involves may have been unwanted by the church. • We also found that Steph’s house was too modern looking for the cult like themes that we were trying to produce. How did we overcome this? With no permission to film in the interior of the church, we instead took some exterior shots. Instead of using Steph’s house we used Lauren’s Grandmas in Saddleworth. Here we had a wider range of locations and the look of an old village.
Changes Why? How?
