As an environmental consultant, conducted work at several of the area’s oil refineries (Shell,
ConocoPhillips, Tesoro) and petroleum transfer stations.
• Installed groundwater monitoring wells,
• CPT and Rapid Optical Screen Tool (ROST) for LNAPL study,
• Ran the groundwater sampling program at the ConocoPhillips refineries
• Conducted groundwater sampling at Tesoro Wilmington refinery
• Collected H2S samples and air samples for VES compliance monitoring
• Oversaw the operations of the hydrocarbon recovery system and vapor extraction systems at
the refineries
• Wrote monthly and quarterly reports to the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board.

Environmental Scientist, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator (06/04 – 12/06)
Tetra Tech EM Inc. Boothwyn, PA
Government contractor for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Superfund Technical
Assessment and Response Team (START) contract for Region 3. As a part of the EPA’s technical
team, conducted removals, assessments and remediation actions. A member of the Core Emergency
Response Team (CERT), EPA’s HAZMAT team and participated in 24-hour operations in level B & C
during emergency responses. Responded in 10 emergency responses for the EPA. Was the project
manager for the largest Removal Action in Region 3. Field manager for an Air Force contract conducted
remedial operations utilized ChemOx injections. The following are highlights of some of my projects
during my time with Tetra Tech:
Removal Activities:
• Price Battery Site Removal Support. Worked as the START project manager for a 10 million
dollar residential removal action in Hamburg, PA. Responsible for planning the cleanup,
performed sampling events and oversaw the cleanup of lead dust removal activities conducted
by EPA’s cleanup contractor. Conducted H&S air monitoring, distributed personal air monitors
as well as collected high volume air samples.
• I-81 Tractor Trailer Spill Cleanup. Provided sampling support for removal operations at the I-81
TTSC site in Staunton, VA. The site was located on the side of an interstate highway, Cleanup
activities for the site were conducted at night to prevent traffic holdups.
Emergency Response:
• Hurricane Katrina. Responded to support EPA and Coast Guard in the cleanup effort in areas of
affected by Hurricane Katrina and Rita in Mississippi. Conducted household hazardous waste
cleanups and aboveground tank removals and Emergency Support Function (ESF) 10
assessments.
• Plantation Pipeline Oil Spill. Responded to a major jet fuel spill of apx. 30,000 gallons released
from a 12” pipeline rupture located in a residential neighborhood in Richmond, VA.
• Cordosa High School. Responded to a major mercury release at a high school in Washington,
D.C. Activities at this site included 24-hour support to EPA for oversight of ERRS cleanup and
air monitoring. Worked closely with EPA OSCs, CID, and DOH for an efficient and effective
cleanup.
Remediation:
• Willow Grove Air Force Reserve Station (WGARS). Worked as the field manager for a
remediation project at the WGARS located in Horsham, PA, in which jet fuel leaked into the
groundwater. Managed and oversaw all of the site activities including; Chem Ox injections to
the groundwater to remove the jet fuel contaminate. Conducted all groundwater sampling and
monitoring at the site.
Site Assessments:
• Hellertown Manufacturing Site. Worked as the project manager for an assessment project at a
former sparkplug manufacturing Site located in Hellertown, PA. Conducted surface and
subsurface soil sampling to determine if any hazardous metals were present at the site.
• Perkasie TCE Site. Provided sampling support for assessment operations at the Site located in
Perkasie PA. Conducted soil gas samples using SUMMA canisters and collected residential
well sampling. Installed groundwater monitoring wells including bedrock coring.

Responsible for inspecting gasoline stations for the largest petroleum company in the world, project
oversight, environmental sampling, analyzing lab data, procurement, writing reports to clients and project
