This is a 2013 art installation by Milwaukee artist Niki Johnson, who was appalled on hearing a particular speech made by the subject of this painting while on a tour to Africa in 2009. Consequently, Johnson used 17,000 _______ to come up with this work which is meant to be viewed from the front as well as the back, where the open ends of the material used gives the portrait a more abstract feel.
