X is when something refers back to or is about
itself, like a book about books or a meme
about memes.
In Gaming “X” could refer to the most effective
way of doing a particular task or performing an
action, widely backed by the gaming
community.
Literally, greek roots of “X” could also mean
something that comes after or beyond, or the
English word which would rather refer to a
change or alteration.

version of this practice was carried out back in 19th century as that
