University of West London – Rich history since 1860s • A Strong root from 1860 when the lady Byron school was founded. It evolved with time in 1990 and merged to form polytechnic of west London in 1992. In August 2010 it was granted to change its name and it rename to University of west London to reflect a focusing of operations onto its Ealing and Brentford campuses • Popular alumni includes • Freddie Mercury, lead singer of Queen. • Robert Orton (worked with Trevor Horn, The Police and won 2 Grammys for mixing Lady Gaga) • Diane James, former leader of the UK independence party

Cyber Security Global Trends As our lives and the corporate world become increasingly digitized, potential impact of cybercrime is becoming ever broader. In both the business and personal worlds, cyber criminals have the ability to cause considerable damage from remote locations, with numerous industry reports* estimating that the global cost of cybercrime has grown to rival that of the illegal drugs trade. From financial theft to identify thefts, cybercrime can take many forms, and there is a global need for skilled and trained professionals capable of tackling these problems urgently.

Career Opportunities and Employability • Graduates could work in the ICT industry and in organizations that are data and knowledge intensive. Roles include the Chief Information Security Officer, network and computer security engineers, security managers and consultants, penetration testers, security investigators and researchers. Admission Criteria • A Bachelor’s degree in any subject; or • Professional qualification (for example, in accountancy) with a minimum of 2 years' relevant work or managerial experience; or • Mature candidates (at least 30 years old) with minimum 8 years of working experience
