1. My First Day As A Nurse
Today is officially the first day of my nursing career, this is the day I have been looking forward
to for years. Recently, I received a position as an emergency room nurse which has been my desire
for as long as I can remember. The pace and the unpredictability are the factors that drew me into
this field of nursing and finally, I can experience it as a registered nurse. I hear the familiar sounds
of the ambulance approaching getting louder with every second, I can feel my heart thumping in
my chest and perspiration develops on the palms of my hands. I know this patient will be my first
case. I quickly grab a trauma gown and some gloves and head out to meet the ambulance.
The paramedic looks at me wide–eyed and begins to tell me the backstory of this patient as he
unloads the gurney from the ambulance. He states urgently, "Female, 15, conscious, has a fever
of over 40 degrees, complaining of a stiff neck and headache, rash (purpura) on her trunk and
lower extremities, she vomited in the field and according to her parents was lethargic and
confused." (2) The terrified parents scramble out of the ambulance and follow their daughter
inside; my mind is instantly flooded with the possibilities, we transfer her into a trauma room to
examine her more closely and find a purple blotchy rash over her trunk, legs and spreading to her
neck. Dr. Williams and I look at each other grimly, we both know what is going on with this patient.
There has been a recent outbreak of meningitis

2. My First Day Essay
My First Day– On my first day of field work at Ps.198 I remember feeling so nervous. As soon as I
step in the school building my heart was pumping with anxiety. All I could think of is what if the
students don't enjoy my company in their classroom, and what If the teacher doesn't get along with
me and how will I survive through the whole experience. Once I got signed to a class I remember
stepping in the classroom while the teacher was teaching the students. At first, I felt awkward
because all the students were looking at me. I recall being so shy and at first, I would just sit and
observed most of the time. As soon as the teacher finished her lesson she finally presented me to the
class and that's when I felt welcomed.

Ms. Mandelbaum has a strong personality. Therefore, at first, I felt like my presences wasn't
there Ms. Mandelbaum wouldn't talk to me so I felt like I bother the class instead. Until Ms.
Mandelbaum came up to me and told me to not be shy to help the student's out if needed. After
that everything changed I started to be more involved with the classroom. I started to ask Ms.
Mandelbaum for tips on teaching. As time passed by I felt very comfortable being around the
students and helping them out when they had questions. Ms. Mandelbaum helped me out a lot
when it came to the social science lessons because she'll always gave me a heads up on the lesson
plan and told me to read the class a book. At end of this I could say I overcame my challenges for
the better.
My Professional Growth– During this experience, it did help me grow not just in general but in a
professional way too because coming to this course I remember professor Leslie asked us "what was
our long–term goal" and I said, "to be a teacher but if that doesn't work out I have a plan b which
would be to obtain a clinical medical assistant certificate" and once I started going to the field work
my thoughts changed. The reason I said I have a plan B was because I was doubting myself whether
I wanted to be a teacher or not. Getting to know the students and the school environment it made me
change my

3. My First Day Of The Class Essay
When I was updating my Fall quarter schedule, I was not sure whether or not I should take
another class, since I knew all three of my classes would be challenging. Because of that, if ever I
decided to take fourth class, I wanted a class that would be easy, fun, and enjoyable. I also wanted
a class that would help me raise my GPA and help me fulfill some of my elective units. Upon
scrolling through my options, I came across Education 001: Imagining Teaching Education.
Looking at the overview I thought to myself, "This shouldn't be too bad. It's an introduction on
how to teach, it's only 2 units, and we would only meet once a week. How hard can this class
get?!" Without a doubt, I registered to this class thinking it will be an easy A. The first day of the
class was indeed fun and I was positive about my decision in enrolling to the class.
However, all of my assumptions took a detour downhill after I attended weeks two and three of
the class. From then, I realized that this class is not the typical "two unit, easy A" class, rather it
was more of a "work hard for it to get an A" class. I struggled in the beginning of the course.
Although I would do all the readings required for the week, my reading questions did not seem to
reflect that because of the unsatisfied scores I would get. Honestly, this class stressed me out;
especially knowing that it is only a 2–unit course, but the amount of workload and the stress it was
providing me seemed like it was a 4–unit class. Because

4. My First Heartbreak Essay
My First Heartbreak
Everything was spinning around and around me, as I stood in front of the mirror watching the
cold, stale tears full of regret and sadness drip downing onto the stiff new sweatshirt I got earlier
that day. I could hear the words floating from the phone into my ear but it sounded as if it was a
million miles away and I was underwater. I could hear Mom try to calm my nerves and try to
wipe my tears from six hundred miles away but it was all for nothing. I could smell the saltiness
of the tears and feel the sliminess of the snot that was a stream from my nose. I wiped away the
stinging tears, filled with a new sense of rage. They are in there talking about me. Thinking I'm the
crazy one. She was the one who constantly belittled me and ditched me. I thought to myself as I
paced around the room with hot, angry tears. I was angry and I couldn't express my emotions like I
was used to so I had to get rid of the emotions through flushing them out with tears. "Just don't think
about it. I need you to stay calm and think rationally. You are better than this. Do I need to drive the
10 hours to come and get you? Because I will and it won't bother me at all." Mom's almost soothing
voice came through the phone in a clearer manner.
I glared out the window for a long time before answering. "No. We are coming home tomorrow. It
would be a waste of time. I just want to switch rooms and avoid for the rest of this trip. I can't be
near her."
"Go take the phone to

5. Essay on My First Concert
In Expository Writing class we were asked to write our first descriptive essay and
we were given many topics to choose from. They had to at least have something to do
with an experience be it good or bad that had an impact in your life and left a great
impression on you. Upon much thought on my part I have decided to write about my first
concert that I ever attended and explain why I left an impression on my in three different
ways and how it was an enlightening experience for me.
Most people would say that their first concert ever was probably and enjoyable
experience but most might not say it was something they would never forget. I however
do not share their feelings because I feel that my first concert...show more content...
Just seeing the look on there faces while they were playing was something I
didn't expect but also something I will never forget because I learned then that there are
many different ways to enjoy music but in these peoples minds there was no better way
than this.
August Burns Red for all intensive purposes is considered a hard core band
because of they heavy use of guitar and the screaming vocals. If you have ever
experienced this type of music live then you would know the type of energy that it gives
off is contagious and you can tell by looking around the room that everyone is feeling it.
The energy that I felt at the concert is another major reason why it left such and
impression on me. Its difficult for me to explain in words but while the band is playing
and the drums are going you can feel it in your chest as if your heart was part of the
drums. The feeling is way different then your traditional music listening, which consist of

crazy is another thing I wasn't expecting but also just another part of the experience that I
wont soon forget.
The last thing that was part of the experience that left and

7. My First Day Of College Essay
My first day of college was kind of a blur but it was most certainly a very important one. I spent
my first semester of college at Central Michigan University, I arrived on the Friday before classes
started which is commonly known as "Welcome Weekend" around campus. Coming into it I really
didn't know what to expect from college, I was really nervous about meeting my roommates and
having to communicate with them. I had been friends with the same 6 people for the past 5 years
and moving on into a new environment where I knew no one was pretty daunting. I live in
Livonia Michigan it's about 20 minutes out from Detroit, CMU is in Mount Pleasant just over 2
hours away. I was so sad to leave my friends that day I basically slept the whole way to Mount
Pleasant just so I wouldn't cry. When I arrived my parents and I along with some help from the
student volunteers unpacked my aunts minivan and moved into my home for next 9 months. I was
the first to arrive so I obviously chose the biggest room, I stayed in Trout hall on the north side of
campus. The way they had it set was 4 roommates in one dorm, each dorm had 2 bed rooms and 1
bathroom as well as a common room. Different dorm halls had different rooming methods but the
one Trout used was pretty common on campus. Once I was all moved in and unpacked my parents
went out to grab me some groceries, I used this time to catch up with my friend Nick....show more

The rest of the year came with a ton of great moments but none have really stuck with me the way
my first day did. It's like real life came at me all at once and the only thing I could do was sit there
and take it all in, now when I look back on it I can trace tat day to so many other significant
decisions I made that year, not only that year but all throughout college as well. It may not have
gone exactly as planned but it was certain worth the

8. My First Job Experience
My First Job Experience "Winning is important to me, but what brings me real joy is the
experience of being fully engaged in whatever I'm doing." says Phil Jackson, a former American
professional basketball player. People always whine about how their first job experience was
terrible and there's only one reason which is not getting enough amount of money for their work.
I think people need to think that job is not always about money as I discovered from my first job.
About three years back, I had just turned sixteen and had finished 10th grade so I was enjoying my
summer vacation just like other kids enjoying their summer vacation after a long school year. One
day, my mother said I should get a job. She said it would teach me how to...show more content...
The workplace was always very clean, which also created a nice environment around me to focus
on my work. That's really a good thing because a nice working environment keeps me safe,
healthy, and gives me more energy to do my work. This company was also very well organized. I
feel I was one of the lucky one who got a job in very nice and organized company. I received a
good salary, had a nice working environment and was given respect by other employees which
were really amazing despite being the youngest employee. When I entered in this job, I knew
nothing. I was completely inexperienced and unskilled worker but after working here, this job
helped me to improve my working skills such as how to communicate with people around me,
never try to be hypocrite, stay calm and focus only on my work. Having a job also taught me to
value my own work, and what I put into something. As my mother said, this job also taught me
how to handle my responsibilities by myself. I became responsible for some of my own expenses.
This was a valuable experience for me. I learned the value of the money and taking my own
decisions about what I spend my money on. On Short, I feel that if a person works just for the sake
of money then there's no point of working. Yes, money is important but no person can enjoy the
work if that person is only working there for the sake of

9. Essay about My First Date
My First Date
Her eyes shined like a glossy pearl just washing on a shore of black sand with the warm rays of
the sun shining down on it. Lips of bright cherry red went well with the tight black dress she was
wearing. The light hit her just right so you could see every luscious curve of her body. She smelled
like an ocean breeze coming in to the shore. Just try to imagine the perfect most beautiful woman
you have ever seen in your life and times that by ten fold. Absolute perfection on high heals.
The day started out as any other day, but I seemed more excited than I'd ever been. My happiness
was radiating off of me. My friend Sean asked, "Seth, why are you so damn excited today?"
"Today," I replied, "Is going to be...show more content...
I looked in the mirror after I got dressed, but I still didn't think I looked just right. So I pulled out
my sterling silver watch, my black tennis shoes, and a silver necklace chain that I polished to
perfection before wearing. I thought to myself, 'that did the trick'.
After I was dressed I went back into the bathroom so I could brush my teeth and comb my hair. I
then went to pick Chris, my date, up. I got into my moms Ford Taurus and started to drive down to
her house. I can remember doing 80 mph the whole way.
When I got to her house I knocked on her door, and one big fella, her dad, answered the door. This
was the first time I've ever seen her dad, and I was scared crap less. He was about 6'5" tall and
looked like one mean guy. In a little, squeaky mouse voice; I asked if Chris was there. He said that
she was and he invited me in.
"Chris," he yelled, "Your date is here." A faint response came from the bathroom, "I'll be out in a
minute!" "She'll be out in a minute." he told me, "Go ahead and sit down." I sat down and
introduced my self, "My name's Seth." "You hurt, or touch my daughter wrongly, I will hurt you,"
he said in a firm, deep voice. "O.KÉ It's nice to meat you." "What do you guys plan on doing
tonight." "Well I planed for us to go to my house and eat dinner then sit down and visit with each
other." "I hope you guys have fun tonight." "Well...

10. My First Draft Analysis
During the winter semester, I am having a tough time thinking something to write my first essay.
My professor has helped our class to come up with a few ideas, but I couldn't concentrate my
ideas. When I saw some of my classmate assignments, they already wrote more than two pages. I
am asking myself, do I understand what I write? I am worried to write my first draft, and I
explore my problem after I read again "mindset" book that wrote by Carol S Dweck, it changes me
how I think. She explores my fundamental problem to do something properly. Dweck claimed that
we all have different mindsets, so we perform each other differently (P.4). Dweck is introduced to us
basic concept of two different mindsets. These are a growth mindset and fixed mindset.
