This document is a resume for Ningjing Sun, who is a product designer focusing on user accessibility and system-level interaction patterns. She received a BFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design and took courses in anthropology, philosophy and cognitive science at Brown University. • Conducted UX research on multimedia interactions of VUI (voice user interface) and
loT (Internet of Things) for older adults to control home appliances and age in place.
• Proposed prototypes of multi-round dialogues to address issues including time-out
errors, turn-taking problems, and lack of fallbacks or recovery strategies.

CIFA Fablab Global Product Design Contest Participant
Hosted by MIT, 06.2015–09.2015
• Designed a portable device using auduino, sensors, programming and 3D modeling
to automatically send alerts to and provide emergency care for epileptic patients.
• Won silver medal and CIFA Scholar Cum Laude in the Greater China Region. The
final prototype and research paper was presented at the 11th
Fablab Conference.
EXPERIENCE
NetEase (NASDAQ: NTES) User Experience Design Center UX Designer
Hangzhou, China, 07.2020—current
• Proposed voice note function for a to-C app on note-taking with voice recording and
real-time verbatim transcription features; increased the user satisfaction rate by 12%.
• Proposed an AI-driven ad copywriting tool for a to-C product on e-commerce, which
would generate customized ad copies according to different inputs of user and
product profiles; met with engineers to define its data indicator system.
• Led full design iterations of the team management experience of a to-B product on
cloud workspace, and proposed new UI widgets to enhance its customizability.
• Conducted qualitative and quantitative user research to pinpoint usability problems;
landed A/B test to observe product effects.
• Pitched prototypes to product managers to get them buy-in; met with engineers to
identify potential error types and increase data security of products.
Cress Health UX Design Intern

• Designed an end-to-end sign-up process to ensure user privacy and data security.
• Redesigned the CUI flow of AI Chatbot Companion and mood journaling function to
relieve users’ daily emotional problems.

unify brand aesthetics for its products.

• Created visual identity systems and innovation advertisement plans for various clients
including the largest local food-chain company in China.

Better World by Design Conference Digital Media Design Lead

• Developed the entire visual identity system for the largest student-run design
conference in the U.S.; published a multiphase website for fundraising and marketing.
• Used python and P5.js to create a sound-responsive video installation for its opening.
