Obituary - Andrew Lavelle Price
ANDREW LAVELLE PRICE II
Andrew LaVelle Price II, affectionately called Boobie was welcomed into this
life on August 18, 1983 by his proud parents, Andrew “The Hawk” Price and
Demetra Price (Dede) in Los Angeles, California. Andrew was the only child
born of this union. Andrew accepted Christ at an early age and loved the
Lord and was a God-fearing young man. His favorite scripture was Matthew
6:11-16.
Andrew grew up in Gardena, California and resided in Placentia, California.
He attended Atherton Christian School located in Hawthorne, California from
Pre-K to 8th grade. In 2001, he graduated from St. Bernard Catholic High
School. After graduation he attended El Camino College.
After attending college Andrew pursued his true passion for the love of music
and dancing. Early in his music career he had the opportunity to tour
throughout the United States with Westside Connection, Mack 10, and various
artists. His biggest record feature was “The Testimony”.
Later, he branched out on his own and wrote, produced and showcased his
own style of music which has been viewed thousands of times on YouTube and
currently streaming on iTunes.
He loved life, and spent it surrounded by the unconditional love of his
sometimes “overbearing mother”, his dad, children, fiancé (Jonita), and his
family. Andrew valued the strength of their bond, and looked forward to
every opportunity to cook for family and friends. He was called “$ir Saucey”
because of his many delicious dishes. Andrew was well liked and respected by
all his friends, neighbors and co-workers. Andrew worked for the City of Los
Angeles, Recreation and Parks for nine years as a Recreation Assistant, as well
a Sports Coach.
Above all things, Andrew cherished mostly his role as a father to his children,
Andrew III, (nine years), A’Riyah, (eight years) and Jrue affectionately known
as TuTu, (two years) who were his pride and joy. He had a special bond with
his son Andrew III, they were best friends. One of his highlights was being
able to coach his son in baseball and basketball. They found joy in attending
many professional sports games such as WWE shows, Raider and Laker
games. Andrew loved his parents dearly and it was evident by his last social
media post celebrating their 39 years of marriage.
Andrew is preceded in death by his grandparents Lavert Price, Lorraine
Brembry, and Hubert Joiner. He leaves to treasure and cherish his memory,
his parents (Andy, Dede) fiancé (Jonita), his children (Andrew III, A’Riyah,
and Jrue), grandmother (Edna Trosclair), sister (Jasmine), niece (Jer’ee),
nephew (Cortez), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and
friends that will forever celebrate his legacy.

Our family is truly thankful for all who have blessed us with kind words, love and sup-
port during this difficult time. Our hearts are heavy but, filled with gladness from the
prayers, cards and messages that we have received from so many people that knew and
loved Andrew. Please know that whatever you have done to comfort us during this time
has not gone unnoticed and will never be forgotten. May God continue to bless each one
of you.
Love,
The Family of Andrew Price II
