MINDHEARTWILL
enhance self-awareness
on what might be holding
you back
NO QUICK FIXES
NO BULLSH*T
NO GIVEN SOLUTIONS
“ Implementing change
continues to challenge our
leadership capacity.
WHAT WILL IT MEAN TO LEARN HOW
TO BE LEADERS OF ECOSYSTEMS
INSTEAD OF EGOSYSTEMS?
Our capacity to move from where
we are to where we want to be is
what counts!
Open
MINDHEARTWILL
A major change are
taking place in
AIESEC right now!
WE ARE PRESENTED WITH
HUGE CHALLENGES
Change have been decided from outside of our circle of influence.
Its immediate purpose seems to be the attainment of
AIESEC 2015; its longer range purpose seems unclear.
Rationale for the change seem partially subjective.
Training and concise information is limited.
Timelines are extremely challenging.
The expected results seem to depend on pure faith.
No one is fully comfortable with the process.
Wisdom
TO SEE THE DIFFERENCES
Wisdom is rare and cherished
because it comes from a place not
normally accessed by most
people in day-to-day living.
WHAT STOPS THE AVERAGE PERSON FROM
BEING A TRULY WISE AND INSIGHTFUL
PERSON?
WHAT IS IT ABOUT WISDOM THAT MAKES IT SO
HARD TO COME BY?
To access true wisdom, insight, and
guidance one must navigate past
three voices on the journey that are
the path way to deep listening.
DEEPLISTENING
“That’s a stupid idea.”
“Who do you/they think you/they are?”
“Play it safe.”
“Keep things the way you know them.”
Most of us are very familiar with this voice .
VOICEOFJUDGMENT
DEEPLISTENING
Whenever I become judgmental it is a sign
that something within me is amiss,
something I need to hear, reconnect with
and accept.
As we judge one another, we will live into and
function from the worst in each other, not the best.
VOICEOFJUDGMENT
DEEPLISTENING
When I can moderate the voice of judgment, I can
begin to believe in the group/process and expect
the best from both them/it and myself.
Mutual trust and communication give both the
group/process and me a way to enter into that space
of wisdom and deep listening.

“Oh no, we already tried that before and we got hurt,
remember? We ain’t going there again.”
“You can’t trust anyone.”
“It’s better to hurt others before they hurt you.”
“It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there.”
This voice keeps you separate, alone, and bitter.
DEEPLISTENING
VOICEOFJUDGMENT
VOICEOFCYNICISM
This is the voice that keeps you “safely”
separate from others and the world, putting
everything and everyone at “safe
distance.”
This voice is afraid to be vulnerable and sees
vulnerability as a direct threat to survival.
VOICEOFJUDGMENT
DEEPLISTENING
VOICEOFCYNICISM
For often understandable reasons, AIESEC
leaders feel the need to distance themselves
emotionally as way of self-protection.
But in doing so, they cause great damage to
themselves and to the organization.

This voice strives to maintain the
status quo and holds onto what you

This is the ultimate voice at the gate that goes right
to your core animalistic instincts for survival.

FEAR SPEAKS IN MANY VOICES
Fear of losing, fear of being ostracized, fear
of ridicule, fear of looking bad to others or to
our leaders, and especially, fear of failure
and being inadequate.
VOICEOFJUDGMENT
DEEPLISTENING
VOICEOFCYNICISM
VOICEOFFEAR
Fear is so fundamental to the human
condition that all the great spiritual
traditions originate in an effort to
overcome its effects on our lives.
With different words, they all proclaim
the same core message: ‘Be not
afraid.’. . .
Be not afraid does not say that we should
not have fears . . .(but) that we do not
need to be our fears.

I bet you can recognize each of these three
voices in you.

them at some point in your life.

Wisdom
DISTINGUISHING WHEN TO ENGAGE AND
WHEN TO LET GO IS PART OF THE WISDOM
YOU CAN DEVELOP OVER TIME
1. Be aware that these voices will always be on your
path. That’s half the battle itself!
2. Have the courage to face them and engage them.
Don’t back down; how you engage is more
important than winning.
3. Have compassion for not only yourself, but have
compassion for these aspects of yourself; have
compassion for these voices.
4. These voices are far more afraid than your
conscious Self is – step up and show them the way
out of their suffering and smallness.
QUICKSUMMARY
…perhaps all dragons of our lives
are princesses who are only waiting
to see us once beautiful and
brave.
Perhaps everything terrible is in its
deepest being something
helpless that wants help from us.

better prepared to give my best.
What do I need to
give to it my all?
