Dear Parents/Carers,
Your son/daughter has been invited to take part in an Oxbridge University Preparation day at
Beths Grammar School on 17th June, 2010. This will provide a unique opportunity for Year 12
students to gain an insight into the Oxbridge application process and the criteria needed to get
there. Even if pupils do not intend to apply to Oxbridge, it will be an excellent opportunity to
understand the university application process and how to write a good personal statement.
Your son/daughter needs to make their own way to the Beth’s Grammar School at 9.30am. They
will then need to make their own way home from the school at approximately 3.30pm. Pupils
will be responsible at ALL TIMES for their own safety and well-being. Ellen Forde, a Welling
Sixth Form Academic Tutor, will be attending the day and will be available to help the Welling
pupils. Please could you complete the form below and return it to me asap giving your
permission for this to take place and your acknowledgement that pupils are responsible for their
own welfare and transport on this day.
Yours faithfully,
Miss E. Beer
Head of Sixth Form
