EXPERIENCE Edudoc LTD
October 2014 – May 2016
Edudoc is a startup software development company. Our flagship product was
an online Learning Management System called ‘Sembly’. I was initially hired by
Edudoc to perform QA testing, but given my training I soon moved into UX
design and development. It wasn’t long before I was leading the UI/UX Design
and Development of the Sembly platform.
Liaised with users (in this case teachers and students), and conducted
extensive market research to determine the feasibility of such a
product existing and operating successfully within the current
education system.
Visited schools to test various stages of the Sembly platform in a
working environment, gaining valuable feedback aiding the
development of further iterations of the platform.
Translated user test sessions and workshops into wireframes, user
flows, working prototypes and eventually high quality intuitive user
interfaces that were fully responsive across all desktop, tablet and
mobile devices.
Operating in an Agile environment I successfully communicated final
designs and ideas clearly and concisely to the development team,
assuring deadlines were met consistently and effectively.
Maintained Edudoc’s online presence utilizing social media platforms,
writing blog posts and designing and building html email templates.
Established and promoted a strong working relationship with our
print company, resulting in high quality production of advertising
products and brand materials designed by myself utilizing a multitude
of technologies.
