BATON ROUGE, La.—MMR proudly recognized five employees for their dedicated years of
service at its annual Christmas party, held December 10, 2021, at The Country Club of
Louisiana. President/CEO James B. “Pepper” Rutland commended Site Maintenance and
Construction Manager Herbie Bordelon (18 years), International Projects Director Luke
Bianchini (18 years), Project Engineer Brannigan Looney (16 years), Accounts Payable
Specialist Anna Edwards (15 years) and Vice President of Quality and Workforce Development
Chris Scheumack (13 years) for their commitment to the company.
“We are incredibly honored to recognize the accomplishments of our longstanding employees,”
said MMR President/CEO James B. “Pepper” Rutland. “These members of our workforce exhibit
the outstanding drive and dedication that has enabled MMR to prosper in the Capital Region
for the past 30 years.”
MMR recognizes its distinguished employees’ significant contribution in paving the way for
past and future success. In 2021, MMR celebrated its 30th anniversary, attributing decades of
prosperity to its devoted workforce, outstanding performance across all operations and
passion for serving the local community.

from Louisiana State University during the Fall
2021 semester. Interns worked diligently to
complete degree requirements while fulfilling
internship responsibilities at MMR.

wish our graduates ultimate success in future

CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – MMR’s Corpus
Christi district office held a month-long
breast cancer awareness campaign
benefitting Breast Cancer Research
Foundation (BCRF). Employees purchased
pink personal protective equipment (PPE) to
wear while working at designated jobsites
throughout the district to show their support
for the advancement of research to prevent
and cure breast cancer.
“MMR values our employees’ physical and
mental wellness and has made a
commitment to offering advanced
healthcare programs to support our
workforce and their families,” said MMR
President/CEO James “Pepper” Rutland. “I
commend our Corpus Christi employees for
their support of the greater community
through research and development that will
bring an end to breast cancer.”

BATON ROUGE, La.—The Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, Inc. (GBRIA) presented MMR with
its Specialty Trade (Hard Craft) Award of Excellence at the 14th Annual Craft Workforce
Development Awards Banquet, held on Dec. 7, 2021.
The GBRIA Craft Workforce Development Awards program honors individuals and organizations
that demonstrate excellence in investing in workforce development programs. GBRIA also serves
as a benchmarking program designed to promote best practices to improve the skills and retention
of craft personnel in the region. GBRIA recognizes and rewards contractors, member plants,
schools, educators and other individuals who contribute to the recruitment, assessment, training,
career path education and retention efforts.
